About the author

Hunter Holmes is a multi-genre author. His books are meant to spread awareness and enlightenment about alternative lifestyles that have been misunderstood and misconstrued by books and television. The stories themselves are fictional, but he gives you a real-life peek into a beautiful world that is so rarely described. Readers that have experienced this lifestyle will certainly relate to the to the structure and growth of his individual characters, readers that have limited to no knowledge about this way of living, may be shocked or intrigued by the things they relate too, or perhaps even fantasize about. I encourage you to follow this author and give yourself a chance to discover something new within yourself.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2020You know when you read a book and you can’t put it down because you have to know what happens next- and then, when “next” happens you’re all like “THAT DID NOT JUST HAPPEN!!??” That’s what it was like reading Houndings of Hell, Hunter Holmes’ first suspense novel. Every page was a new “WHAAAAT” right until the very end.
I don’t know what I’d do if I started seeing demons in the faces of people I know and trust. You could feel the confusion, fear, and contempt in Cage and Rockman as they worked the problem. There are funny parts too which had me laughing out loud.
This is a hit, Mr. Holmes, even though I am NOT OK, even the day after finishing this incredible, mind-blowing, twisted tale.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2020I did everything about this book out loud. Cussed out loud, laughed out loud (probably not at appropriate moments but, hey.) and slammed the cover on my kindle shut more than once.
If you've read The Prospect books by Hunter Holmes you'll already be familiar with Cage. He really isn't the kind to let others fuss over him - and not in a "look at me, I'm too badass to go to the hospital" kind of way (that's Rockman). He just doesn't feel like he needs to. But he does go to the hospital and the world just goes sideways from there.
From the moment of the attack, Cage is a completely unreliable character. What the eff is going on with him? Did he hit his head? Is he suffering from a mental breakdown? As he moves thru the story it is not clear at all if he's behaving strangely or protectively? Is he a hero or a monster? Its an odd thing, watching someone behave exactly as you would expect them to behave in a world that is completely unexpected.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2020Holy ever loving cow. Hunter you definitely blew my mind away. First off, I was a little nervous reading this book as I am not a big horror fan but it was more on the suspense thriller end in my opinion and I was able to read it. Second, this was a spin off of the Chronicles of Chrighton Series all the main characters had a part in this book too. This book was so good. It was a page turner and oh my word I had to know what was going to happen next. I definitely will say I felt like I was riding a rollercoaster that I didn't know what was going to come up next. By the end you still left me wanting more. Job well done. This book was amazing but if you read it get ready for the ride of your life.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2020I’ll be perfectly honest, I wasn’t sure if I would like this book because it’s not my typical genre, but I gave it a chance because I love CoC. And I was absolutely blown away. Hunter takes you on an adventure full of suspenseful moments which left me gasping and asking "what the actual Eff just happened?!" On more than one occasion I might add. I couldn't put it down. I lost sleep trying to finish and it was absolutely worth it! Hunter has officially made me a fan of suspense/horror/thrillers with his demented mind and I love it! Even if I was left with SO MANY questions....
- Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2021Hunter you’ve done it again. You completely captured my attention. When I was young I loved reading horror but not so much as an adult. I thoroughly loved this book. I loved how you added current events within this book that absolutely made sense. This book will make you look at the world around you in a different light or at least second guess it. I also love the humor you added in there…. Yes I did say humor. To any new readers out there he always adds humor and I enjoy that so much!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2020Cage and Rockman find themselves in something they didn’t realize could truly happen. Have they lost there minds? How will this all end?
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2020There are so many things I WANT to say about this book, but potential buyers may not understand that my negative comments would actually be positive... oh Hunter, you'd understand though, right!!! Anyone thinking about getting this book, think no further, just get it!!!! (Please make sure you have read Hunter's warning prior to purchase though). I don't want to give anything away, but I will say this: you had me cursing loudly, gasping and in a general state of WTF throughout the whole book!! Then I got to the end and just about threw my phone across the room. This spin off from your first series is beyond brilliant!! I'm glad you were encouraged to venture into writing and publishing. We, the readers, are lucky to have you as an author!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 8, 2020Houndings of Hell by Hunter Holmes is definitely a dark and thrilling page turner that left me dumbstruck. It’s creatively creepy, sinister, full of mystery, suspense, and managed to enthrall me from start to finish. Get ready to be unnerved and pick this one up for the gore, high tension, and something to give you chills before you go to bed. A chilling and entertaining read and one I recommend you read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Full of Surprises and Great Banter
Hunter has knocked it out of the other world with this one. Once I started reading I couldn’t stop. I had to know what came next. The banter between Cage and Rockman kept me laughing even when it spooked me. I totally related to this part:
“It hurts when I push on my head.” “Well don’t do that _________.” He said as he laughed.
Thank you for another amazing read Hunter!

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow!
This CoC series spinoff left me speechless. It’s dark and twisted and made me laugh out loud more times than I thought possible in a horror tale. This story is packed full of bloodshed and carnage and will leave your head running wild with all the possible outcomes. An entertaining 5 Star read that you won’t want to put down till the very end.
