    This was a cute holiday read! The story is intense and so steamy your glasses may fog up. While I would have loved to see more of this trio’s story, I enjoyed the instant connection between the three of them. The author dropped us right into the heat of things and kept the pressure on until the light show at the end. This book was a fantastic way to pass a few hours and I’m looking forward to reading more by the author.

    I liked elements of this and could have loved more of that explored, but there was a focus on some kind of worldbuilding that just flopped for me. I loved what we got of Caleb and Jason’s relationship. Kelsey's addition to that could have been great. Except they decided to make the guys "werefoxes" and her a super powerful witch who made it to college without ever having a clue of her power or that maybe weird things happened around her because of that untapped magic. We're supposed to believe the only instance before she learned about this paranormal world was her blowing open the dean's office door in a huff after a meeting and she thought it was just a really aggressive automatic door? I'm sorry, she's supposed to be a really smart journalist yet she doesn't find it strange that she had to let herself into that door to enter the office but it's suddenly automated for her exit?

    This read could and should have been some hot Halloween fun, but wanted to be something more and just ended up ridiculous, at best, and honestly boring in the end. Even the erotica fell flat in the face of all the lore thrown in for no good reason. It had one really hot moment that should have carried on until the end, but instead they time out to consult with "Nancy" who is of unknown origin, position or power but has knowledge to come into the story for an exposition dump that boils down to Caleb, Jason and Kelsey have to decide immediately, while being too horny for truly rational thought, whether they want to be a bonded throuple or sever all ties. Oh and the guys were also possibly under Kelsey's spell because she had no knowledge or control of her magic while she thirsted after them.

    "You’ve bewitched us. Not in a weird, taking-away-our-free-will kind of way. But like in a true-love-is-magic kind of way." The fact that the author felt a need to make a character, Jason in this instance, say something like this speaks to the issues with their plotting and rather than rework this 58 page piece to improve it they smacked this in like a fixall for any issues. No. Sorry. You're not on the level of Ofelia Grand for me, able to bring whole worlds and cultures and romances to vivid, satisfying life in under 100 pages. This author needed to pick a lane and either focus on the worldbuilding to tell the story in a longer format or keep this short length and just frolic with the furry idea. All the things just shoved into this short read simply did not work.
