A nice ending to a unique series!
Hannah is in a bind, the venue for her charity event just cancelled and she is in need of another venue fast! Roarke proposes a deal; he can get her a venue in exchange for five favors. Desperate times call for desperate measures! I enjoyed how smart and tactical Roarke was with his favors. The only side of Roarke that Hannah is familiar with is the cut-throat divorce attorney that represented her ex-husband and took more from her than she would have liked. He strategically uses the favors to force Hannah to see him in a different light. You may be like Hannah and think, using one of his favors just to request she drop the formalities and call him by his first name? Silly! But this man knows what he's doing to try to wiggle his way into her heart! I adored Roarke's patience and easy going determination when it came to pursuing Hannah. Even though he made his interest in Hannah clear, he always acted like a gentleman and wasn't one to take advantage of the favors Hannah owed him. I think it was so sweet the way he offered up private parts of his life to her and wasn't afraid to show a little vulnerability. I thought the conflict was kind of silly. I thought that a few minor details being communicated could've cleared up any sort of confusion, without having to break any sort of confidentiality. But I'd gladly live through that conflict again if it meant getting Roarke's sweet and heartfelt speech at the end! Favorite Quote: "I bet he knows his way around a woman's body.     The first quarter of the book was so funny and I absolutely loved it. It ventured off more into the romance part after that which I still liked a lot but I really loved the first part the most with the push and pull between the characters. I loved Hanna as well as Roarke. Both gave it to each other pretty good and didn’t hold back on witty remarks. She was a strong female character who could definitely hold her own and who found a perfect counterpart in Roarke. I loved to see that he also had a vulnerable side though, because she thought that he was arrogant when in reality he was only this tough lawyer at work but a real charmer and sweetheart on the inside.

    The Story:
    Roarke was quick-witted and determined to win Hanna over. Though she rather ran in the opposite direction of her ex’s attorney; the man who robbed her of half her fortune for this cheating bastard. Will he ever be able to make her see beyond that? Is there a chance for them to get over the circumstances on how they met?

    Thoughts:
    Roarke's a lawyer through and through in everything he did which was actually really refreshing to read because it was different to all the characters who usually rarely act in a way that lets you guess their profession.

    He was actually really sweet. Who would have thought? And I liked how he took care of everything to show Hanna that he didn't need her money and only wanted her for herself. Obviously, he had a way with words and I was surprised that he wasn't anything close to what I imagined him to be.
    He was thorough in what he did and seemed like to have a plan for everything. He surely liked to be in control of any situation but he still let Hanna have her freedom and voice instead of pushing his way on her, he was only nudging her in the direction. =P

    Roarke didn't have it easy with a strong and independent woman like Hanna who got hurt and betrayed by her ex-husband. Naturally, she was suspicious and comparing his actions to her ex-husband’s and wondered if she could really trust a man ever again.

    There was a glimpse into the next series at the end of the book but I only read what was part of Hanna's story because I never read sneak peeks of upcoming books. I just prefer to read the full book when it's out and I'm definitely going to read them.

    This is book 3 in a series. For this book I think you should read the 2 previous books only because they build up to the end event for this book. Books 1 and 2 can be out of order, but 3 is the ending.
    Overview: Hannah started a company RISE to help girls see that they don’t need to service a man or depend on a man to have a good life. She has a huge Gala coming up and the even place canceled on her. Hannah, Chelsea and Victoria are at the table of Their speak easy, when silver fox Roarke comes over and offers to solve their venue issue if he can have Hannah. Hannah tries everything to get a venue, but ends up turning to Roarke, the devil himself her Ex husbands lawyer, to help with the Gala. But Hannah sins the contract for 5 favors with Roarke. Fist house set, then a date to a social event and third his sisters wedding in another state for 3 days. Hannah can’t stop her feeling toward Roarke and even more when his family see’s he loves her already. How will her family feel about him when they find out she is seeing her Ex husbands lawyer?

    Hannah…made me love her then broke my heart then put it all back together again. How many of us are or were like her when it comes to love and marriage? How many of us are so incredibly stubborn that we blindly hold onto deep-seated distrust? And now how many of us have gotten smacked in the head with an epiphany that opens us, not only mentally but emotionally as well? Now don’t get me wrong, I think I’m more stubborn than Hannah. However, she was the one that showed me that keeping an open mind after my trust was violated is key to my personal survival. I admit there were times that I wanted to shake her for her misplaced antagonism and rudeness. It made my heart so happy to see the change in her, and it gave me hope.

    Roarke…I absolutely fell in love with him. His relentless pursuit of Hannah made me grin. His persistence opened my eyes to see what kind of man he is underneath the divorce attorney persona he wore like a well-loved shirt. He is far from perfect, and he made me fall more in love with him with each revelation. There are few things sexier than a man who pursues a woman with cunning, honesty, gentleness, and vulnerability. What he did towards the end for Hannah? S.W.O.O.N. Piper Rayne, I need a Roarke!

    Piper Rayne, I do not know how you ladies do it. You make me break a rib (kidding) from laughing then turn around and bring that tickle to my nose that signals the forthcoming tears. I cannot wait to see what you ladies come up with next!

    This was a fun series to read. All 3 books were enjoyable, light, and had no cheating (except in the backstory) and a HEA.

    This book was from Hannah's POV. Roarke has been a thorn in her side since he represented her ex during their divorce. He always gets what he wants, and now he has his sights set on Hannah. But he has never come up against someone like Hannah outside of the court room, and she's not a pushover.

    Their banter was witty, and all of their interactions had meaning. I think this was my favourite book of the series, and I feel there was a lot more character depth in this one than the previous ones. We definitely got more depth to Roarke than I saw with the Male MC in the previous books - he was exposed and vulnerable to Hannah in a way the other guys never were.

    In short, great book and enjoyable series. I'm now very tempted to read the other series' by this author to get to know those characters that we saw briefly during this series.
