    Thoughts: there are 24 chapters in the book of Luke and she lays out this heart study, in 12 sessions. IMO, this author has a desire to know and share the love of God. She does a great job putting the focus on God, where it belongs. The study of this book is easy to understand, would be a good short, group Bible study and is good for a self study too. The verses in this study offers an opportunity to better understand the underlying sense of his character as revealed through Christ’s actions for people. Luke’s gospel tells many stories with whom Jesus interacts.

    Each of the 12 study sessions includes a primary Scripture passage, an introduction, questions, an Old Testament passage connection(s), and personal application. This study helps us reflect and find love and feeling the Lord’s care.

    I was hoping there would be some answer key at the end or some hints as to how some of the questions in the application or in the Old Testament links should be answered. I would prefer this in a group study with more advanced Bible readers since I would have no clue on how best to answer a question like "What does drawing lots have to do with faith?" Other questions were good though provoking questions.

    I was given a free copy of "Heart: a 12-Session Study of Luke", from the author, Sarah Howley via LibraryThing. I was very impressed by the study. Sarah asks the student to read 2 chapters of Luke per lesson. She asks in depth questions about the chapter and asks the student to read verses from the Old Testament and asks how they relate to the lesson of Luke. This study will make sure you understand what the passage is talking about and has many very good discussion topics if you are doing this study in a group.
    This is a fantastic lesson book.

    This is really nice study on the Book of Luke. The pacing is especially good. Each study covers 2 chapters and requires a significant amount of time to prepare. This makes it most conducive for a weekly or bi-weekly study. The questions are thought provoking. This is an excellent tool and resource. The time spent with the material was time well spent.

    This book gives great insight. I learned a lot. Its a great tool to use alongside your Bible for better understanding. I appreciate the teachings and think this book would be great to use in a small group setting.

    This is a well written book that can be a valuable supplement to your Bible study and enhance your comprehension of the life of Christ. I found it to be a useful study guide for the word of God. And it’s an easy read.
