- Reviewed in the United States on October 9, 2023This is one of the best sci-fi novels I've ever read. Rose's imagination knows no bounds. She gives the book never ending action, drama and humor. The characters are engaging and fantastic. She describes so much detail that I feel like I was on that Planet. Any one that enjoys otherworldly tales will love Heart Fire. I'm looking forward to the next adventure.
Read On, Ourania 😇
- Reviewed in the United States on October 8, 2024I totally enjoyed this sci-fi indeath story. It's part of an ongoing series, but each novel is a stand alone romance for each couple, but is best read in book number order. The story is compelling and each love relationship is deep and satisfying. The story has lots of twists and turns a,nd plot drama to keep you interested to keep you interested what will happen next. Sci-fi and romance together you can't beat. Very entertaining read, enjoy.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2023Ooh wee was this an exciting book! I found it to full of intrigue, excitement and a lot of heat. I found the two species to be quite interesting, both run by females and males beaten down and uses with an iron fist. I am SO looking forward to the next book.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2022This book was well written and the story of two alien races, both altered to survive their situation was lovely. The lower rating was for the head hopping, on a single page we could jump to several different points of view and a few world building questions I had that didn’t quite fit. In the end, I could forgive most of that for the fun read.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 21, 2022My first question in reading any new author is, can they edit their book? The answer to that is a resounding yes! This book sucked me right in, built 3 new worlds in my imagination and developed the sweetest first romance one could have on an alien planet! I can’t wait to learn more about this new colony, how they will combine the two cultures to make something new, the mystery surrounding the saboteur, and the mates that will come together. 😊
- Reviewed in the United States on March 15, 2022Description- Earth has long since developed Interstellar exploration capabilities, and has been colonizing newly found planets for a while. So long in fact, that their original colonies have formed colonies. Their cultures are wildly different and hard to keep up with. But The Alliance manages to do so, regulating all colonies from their base on the original Earth planet. The main colonies we have been introduced to are Verit and Falosia. Both are matriarch lead societies. The first having an 80% male population and the latter an 80% female population. (I think you can see where this is going and what trope is being used) A new colony called 29 is a joint venture between the two colonies to reverse population inequality and ensure the survival of their people. Verit's female rulers are called Mamans and they rule with an iron fist and cruelty- which has caused entirely too much untold resentment from the mostly male population they rule. Falosian females are seen as soft due to being empaths but they can mete out punishment when warranted. The two cultures are tested to the max as they attempt to build a colony together, while also clinging tightly to their individual identities. Sabotaging and political wrangling abound, from inside and outside the colony. It's a guessing game of who to trust and everything seems to be going wrong.
There's a small romance blooming between Verit's first warrior and Falosia's healer. It's a slow burn, with mostly clean scenes. The constant sabotaging along with so many people wanting to see the colony fail, seemed to put a negative veil over the colony that was impossible to get out from under. I personally prefer a more adventurous and positive fantasy in my escape time but see the appeal for fans of 'who dunnit' suspense and thrill seekers. This is a great first novel from the author and I hope to see this world grow more positive, entertaining and romantic as the series develops. I rated this book 3.5 stars due to great cover art, worldbuilding, suspense, decent editing and a complete HEA. I will absolutely give this author and the series another try. I believe honesty and transparency is key in reviews, otherwise what's the point of them. I received a free copy of this book from the author and am voluntarily leaving an honest review. Happy reading!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 5, 2022The story is sublime. It is alien & yet totally human. The characters are well rounded, intelligent, emotionally scarred & completely likeable. To say I loved this book is a definite understatement. Can't wait to read the next book.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 19, 2023This story has a real “old school sci/fi fantasy” feel to it. Very enjoyable and engaging . I’m looking forward to the next in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heart Fire
What a great new series I've found. So well written, great storyline and so different from the usual Aliens v Humans, instead we have male warriors and female empaths from differing planets, joining up to start a new colony on a new planet. Can't wait to get started on book 2.

5.0 out of 5 stars I felt like I was there!
Keep writing! Seriously!! This brave new world you are creating is brilliant! I still have a little way to go but will be very sorry to read the final words of this first (hopefully) book in this series. When the pods came down, it was like the reader was right there along with them! So exciting! The characters are being well developed and really stir the emotions of the reader. Me anyway. Noone can speak for others, but I think anyone who likes alien romantic fiction will love this story!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read!
My first read from this author and I’m really impressed, the world building could have been better but the story was fantastic, great character elements, list of more unique variants to the normal new planet colony theme. Loved it, and will be back for more!

5.0 out of 5 stars Clever and engaging
This is the best book from a new author I have read. It has a good plot, sound character development and was well written. Quality work in what can be a pretty ordinary genre. I look forward to the next book in the series.
