To be forthcoming I have read a lot of five-star books. None of which have ever had such a beautiful strong badass woman as RC Boldt has just written. Normally I read RC for her comedic romance novels, but she has hit mother lode gold with this book, and I can’t wait to see what comes next.

Caitlin Ashford lost her entire family in one night. Having to sit through the trail of death of her family she is now under a watchful eye for her verbal outburst during court. Caitlin remembered something unique, fancy shoes of the person who threatened her to keep her mouth shut. Understanding her only option is to escape or be forever stuck in a mental institute, she decides to run.
“I wasn’t training for a little sparring match on cushy mats in some gym. I was training to go back to the world I left and rain down vengeance.”
Hunter is a paid killer who hasn’t been able to be identified. After being hired by the Dixie Mafia to figure out who is taking out their people, he goes on the hunt only to run into a woman he didn’t realize related more to him than anyone else.

Can Caitlin get the revenge she wants for her family or will it come to an end for her and her life? Or will Hunter stop her?

This book is now my all-time favorite by RC Boldt. I love romantic suspense novels and this one put me through the wringer. I can’t tell you how many emotions I went through with this book, but in the end, this was the greatest ride I have been on for 2020. With everything going on in the world this book was what I need with the words I needed to be reminded about.
I highly recommend this book and it is a 6 star read for me.

Anger, joy, sadness, fear, and revenge. I was on the edge of my seat and I read this book in one day! I could not put it down. As a mother, I was cheering as Caitlin began exacting her vengeance/justice. The title nailed it because hell hath no fury as a mother with nothing left to lose. She totally went all John Wick on all the people that did her wrong! And boy does she do it well! I LOVED IT!!! Caitlin was strong and bada$$. She had a dream life until it was all taken away. Then the justice system failed her, and she had no choice but to take the law into her own hands and dole out her own form of justice! Wow! Just wow! You definitely don’t want to be the one hearing "I'm coming for you" or "You're Next". Every time I thought I had it figured out, I was thrown for a loop! The twists and turns kept coming and when I got to the end of the book, I was exhausted! This story is bloody, violent, depraved and freaking awesome! There is steam that will set your kindle ablaze, there are characters that will reach your soul, and a tale that will flip you on your keister! The characters were perfectly imperfect! The bad guys were evil, and I cheered with each act of revenge! Yep, I am twisted like that, I guess! This book surprised me, and this author needs to write more books in this genre because she NAILED IT! I love my dark stories and I love romantic suspense, this was totally my jam! What was even better was its originality!! This book has all my recommendations and I definitely recommend to anyone who likes to walk on the dark side. You won’t be disappointed! I will definitely look forward to more books by this author!
