4.5 out of 5 stars 393 ratings

Kidnapped by a dragon, Quinlan's doing his best to pretend that his baby is a dragon shifter.
Behind on rent and three states away from home, Quinlan needs to make it back before his landlord trashes all his things. Especially the expensive supplies for his mermaid baby, Annie.
Except he gets kidnapped.
By a dragon.
A dragon who is determined to make Quinlan his mate.
Somehow, the dragon, Griff, thinks Annie is a baby dragon. In order to convince Griff to fly them home, Quinlan keeps up the pretense. While ignoring the heaps of quilts, baby clothing, and phones that Griff has collected to court his mate.
There is no way Quinlan's falling for his kidnapper. Nope. None at all.
But Griff is an oddball shifter who's growing increasingly excited for Annie's first fireball. He's unexpectedly sweet, desperate for a mate, and as much as Quinlan tries to reject him, Griff is starting to wear down his defenses...

How to Hide Your Mermaid Child is a 53k-word MPreg romance with an enthusiastic dragon shifter who needs a mate, the bewildered single dad he has his heart set on, a very cute baby, and many terrible love songs. HEA guaranteed, no cheating!

Hello! Thank you for wondering about me; I'm a funny, sausage-loving goofball with a surprisingly tolerant husband (his ghost, now!) When I'm not busy writing (which is very rare), I haunt grocery stores and stuff my freezer with my favorite food.

I've been scribbling since I was fourteen, and I believe that everyone needs a safe place. My dorky guys fall in deep, devoted love, the way Huz showed me a person can be loved, and every book is guaranteed to end in a HEA.

I really enjoyed this one. The insanity that was Griff was amazing. There are do many songs and pick up lines in here so kudos to author for having the ability to write them all. I enjoyed Quinlan as a character as well. He made an excellent point about doing stuff to make your partner happy even if it's not something you're into. The scene where they were attacked legit worried me. I feel like something bad will happen to one of the main characters in a future book. And speaking of future books, I really want Mav and Telos to get together. Please!!! Anyway, loved this book and this whole series has been great so far.

This series keeps getting better. Hiding a merchild from a dragon who thinks she's a dragonet... yeah... full time job. Griff just really wants a mate. Quinlan just wants to keep Annie safe. Old friends are here. Get ready for the butlers and the infamous pink book. Ooh, and lots of cheesy, cringeworthy songs. They will have to fight off kidnappers to keep them all safe. This book is non- stop action. But love prevails. And don't get me started on the sex...whew! This is a sweet romp that will leave you wanting more and wondering who will be next to find their mate. I loved this book. You need to grab it. Now!

Griff was such a great character! I have been sharing the Dicky Mems pick up lines with my husband to his astonishment and occasional dismay😆. I really really would love for the Dicky Mems book to be realized in real life, but until I love seeing them pop up in these stories and loved seeing Griff so enamored with them and seeing his wacky songs. It was such a great ready with just a bit of tension and heart tugging to give it good depth and action.

I look forward to more of the series!

Griff is a bit of weirdo, but very well-intentioned, sweet and enthusiastic. I liked his devotion to Quinlan and Annie. He is very earnest and protective. Quinlan sees who Griff is at his core, and I liked that he grew to love his mate's songs, grasping their true meaning even if the outrageous or silly lyrics sometimes make it a bit of a challenge.

A dragon who thought nobody could love him, a merman on the run from those wanting to steal his baby, lots of caring friends, a book of really bad love songs that seems to be in everyone’s house, sentient pet shopping carts…the ingredients to make good story. You will love it. Highly recommended.

Anyone who enjoys cute kids adorable omegas and happy go lucky alphas this is a great read. The danger of the silver man is a mystery for the alpha group to defend their family's. And keep safe. There is interesting books the butler's are passing around .

I loved How to Hide Your Mermaid Child by Anna Wineheart. It's the fifth book in the Closet Baby Chronicles. I loved Griffin and Quinlan's story. I loved Griffin's songs. I can't get enough of Dicky Mems' pickup lines. I loved Griffin's carefree and happy attitude. I also loved his dirty mouth and the effect it had on Quinlan. I also loved Annie and Carty. I look forward to reading the next book in the series.

Being that it's not based on our current world- it's adorable how himbo like the one MC is and I'm glad to see both people well supported and cared for.

But it's book 5 and I want to see them going on the offensive with the baby napping bad guys. Surviving a few encounters just isn't good enough anymore. I vote that someone has to infiltrate them and dismantle them from the inside.

They are all superbly over the top and cute and spicy, but they're getting a bit repetitive now.
