There is still the adventure going on but the bet part of the story is each couple AND the butler brothers!!!! I liked this story. Samsen and Valor were both very likeable. I do wonder if the epilogues in these books are taking place post bad guy situation. Everyone just keeps having so many babies and I'm wondering if that means the bad guys are handled by then or if they just want more babies and decide not to think about the bad things that could happen if they have 4+ kids and mates to look after. Anyway, that's just my brain and not a criticism of the story at all. I like the set ups for future books. Not counting Joey's book coming up, I got 3 other books that could happen. Hopefully!! There were quite a few typos, mainly the wrong name being used. It could definitely use another round of editing.

Samsen is a vampire who doesn't want to be one. He works at place where he can get blood but he hates doing it. He is having to hide his baby girl Mazie there in one of the offices while he's at work and sneak off to feed her. He feels too much of a burden to ask his friends to watch her. Mazie is also a rare baby of double species. The second one besides being a vampire was so awesome. So I won't ruin the surprise of that.

One day Samsen's boss Valor who's part wolf finds him coming out the office he doesn't find out about Mazie until later because of the way she's being hidden in plain sight. Once does find out he helps them.

Samsen is worried at first that Valor there take Mazie but he proves that he's a wonderful man. Also defends them when come under attack people trying take Mazie and another child that's at the safe house. Samsen was awesome at defending too. He also starts to be okay with his vampire side and is getting the blood he needs and should have all along from Valor who makes him see its ok. He was turned against his will which I wanted hug him over.

I loved this sex was hot for sure and Mazie.is adorable plus epilogue with other kids is too. Can't wait for Joey's book because the ending with setting it up was brilliant.
