His Bratty Omega (Sweet Alps Mates Book 2) Kindle Edition
My whole life I unapologetically believed in fairy tales and fated mates. I waited – impatiently - for the day my mate would appear and sweep me off my feet. Turns out Fate has a wicked sense of humor. The second my hand brushed his, I knew Finn was my mate... and my stomach turned. I'm unicorns and sunshine. He's stern scowls and a monotone fashion sense.
Sure, he's insanely hot. That doesn't change the fact that we are polar opposites and can’t stand one another. We spent years pointedly ignoring each other, fighting against the magnetic desire that sizzled between us.
Until that one explosive night...
Now, I’m carrying his child and trying to figure out how to co-parent with the man I alternately despise and long for.
Finn Sinclair
I never believed in Fated Mates until the day I met my brother’s newest assistant. The world shifted as I peered into the eyes of a man who reminded me of a thousand, brightly lit firecrackers.
The bratty, gorgeous sub pushed every one of my buttons – as a man, an alpha, and a Dom. We agreed to ignore the pull between us, and that plan worked for years. Until the night we gave in and my world exploded.
He annoyed me to no end, while somehow making my soul feel complete. How can I focus on successfully co-parenting, while lusting after him every second I spend in his presence?
This is book two of the Sweet Alps Mates series, but all can be read as standalone. Characters from previous books will pop in, but it is not necessary to have read book one. This is an enemy to lovers story that includes age gap, hurt/comfort, fated mates, mpreg, knotting, some D/s, and a HEA.

About the author

Raiven Matthews lives in Northern Indiana where she is surrounded by corn fields, RV's and Notre Dame football. An avid reader from a young age, she discovered MM romance while reading fan fiction, and never looked back. She loves cats, her grandkids, and coffee and wine, equally. She often plots her books on her commute to her RL job, which is full of boring numbers and spreadsheets. She believes in writing happily-ever-after's with a twist, and her books are full of heat, heart and lots of humor.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 5, 2025I loved this book. 5 star for rating, 4 for spice. These two are like oil and water for years. But they finally get adulty and talk to each other and learn about one another and find they actually do like what they find. The brattiness is entertaining.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2024I really want to give it 5 stars, I loved the characters and the story, but there are too many basic grammar issues.
The story is great, the characters are awesome, I loved them. But I really can’t get pass the spelling and grammar issues… the first couple of times someone “brother’s and parent’s” showed up, it was fine, it happens to everyone. But every single time Finn’s brothers and Wade’s parents were mentioned it was spelled the same. Seriously, where are the beta readers? The editor? The ARC readers? The author’s friends? It is not even advance grammar and spelling, it is pretty basic.
This is such a shame because the story and the characters are great, the tone and pace of the book, the writing style of the author.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2023I usually don't comment on small errors in the text but this one had enough to frequently pull me out of the story. Specifically moving from past tense into present tense and back. Then also the improper use of: 's.
On the story: I blew through this book, it was so good and kept me reading. Wade and Finn were hot and fun. Especially the ending was well worth it, they were so cute, such a lovely story. I'll be continuing this series! Recommended, five stars.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 12, 2022I think this is the second mpreg book I've ever read. And probably the second shifter book as well. I am not a big paranormal reader but I have to say this book was a really fun read. I love strong sassy characters and Wade has these qualities in spades. I found myself smiling while reading several times. I loved the banter between Finn and Wade. I also loved that even though Finn is serious we learn a lot about Finn and that he has a whole other side to him that many don't see.
I enjoyed everything this book had. It was detailed, funny, and had excellent character development. I started on book 2 and immediately went back and purchased book 1 when I finishedreading.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 22, 2023This was a fun story. Wade is effervescent and full of life. I loved his colorful personality and the way he always pushed Finn's buttons. Finn has a grumpy exterior, always a scowl on his face especially around Wade. I loved that he is a closeted nerd and has a soft spot for his patients. After five years of trying their best to avoid fate and each other, it was bound to come to blows or the bedroom, in this case a car! I really liked their journey from enemies to lovers, how they got to know each other and their needs. Wade's background is really sad. I'm glad he always had Quinn and his family for support.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 7, 2024I wanted more of the change from enemies to lovers. Yes, we learned some background - mostly about Wade, but not really enough to justify the abrupt change of heart. I felt like Lachlan and Quinn took longer to get together than these two who hated each other for so long.
It’s a big pet peeve that these books haven’t been proofread. There are SO MANY grammatical errors. Mostly excessive use of commas and apostrophes. Every plural word seems to end in ‘s as if it were a possessive word instead. And sometimes the wrong word is used. For instance, “peeking,” instead of “peaking” or “piquing.”
These definitely need an editor or better proofreading. The first book was the same.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2023I hoped Finn and Wade would be paired up while reading the first book of the series. There were a couple clues, and I was very excited to see that my guess was correct! Like Lachlan and Quinn, these two really have to work at their relationship. They have amazing chemistry, but their first meeting did not go well and had colored their relationship since. We got to watch the two of them work to overcome their first impressions and really get to know each other.
Finn and Wade are complete opposites, but by the end of everything they end up working really well together. Their friends and family are shocked by their pairing, but apparently Fate knows what she's doing! It was fun watching these two push each others' buttons and their was plenty of witty banter. There were plenty of steamy scenes plus a little dose of kink. There was more kink on page than the previous book, but I would still consider it pretty mild.
I love that we are getting to know all the Sinclair brothers better as the series continues. I'm excited to read Brendan's and Jamie's stories!
- Reviewed in the United States on January 9, 2023I really enjoyed this book. It was the perfect mix of loving, hating, understanding, and growing. I think Raiven Matthews did a wonderful job on the plot so the scenario of hating then loving was believable. I grew to love the characters and I’m already jumping up and down waiting for book three. You don’t have to read the other books to know and understand the story but I would recommend you do. I’m also happy that we have two more brothers who need to find their mate.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book I’ve read all year!
I loved this book so much.
This is the second book in the series and while I loved the first book the second one is amazing! The hurt/comfort was written amazing, the characters are amazing.
I wish I could rate it more stars but Amazon only allows 5 🔥🔥🔥

5.0 out of 5 stars The Bratt
So different from the first book but I really enjoyed their 5 years of school yard courting it was like pulling someone’s ponytail to get a reaction but once they got over their dislikes and saw the real person it was instalove.

4.0 out of 5 stars Don’t argue with Fate!
An enjoyable story. I did wonder how Finn and Wade were going to overcome the deep chasm between them, but it did happen. Finn was a bit slow, but then he’d never dated before so maybe that’s why. Once they’d actually decided to really get to know each other and be honest, then it was sweet how perceptive he was about Wade’s needs. Once Wade showed his vulnerability, their honesty with each other was wonderful. A feel good story, which was fun to read.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good story but needs editing
This book could do with another edit. There were some odd tenses in places that messed up the flow. Good story though.

4.0 out of 5 stars miscommunication
I have always liked an opposites attract, enemies to lovers plot but this one took way too long for the MC’s to figure out their shit. Not in the actual book but considering it took them years to resolve what was clearly a miscommunication when they first meet, was a little sad to be honest. But I enjoy the Sinclair family and reading Finn and Wades story.
