    I love the older man/younger woman story lines and am especially fond of ones that involve independent, confident, curvy girls. Cleo has all that and more. She's also sweet-natured, talented, loving, with just a touch of vulnerability that just adds to her charm and causes the reader to find her even more loveable.
    Xavier is very alpha and has possessive tendencies toward Cleo but he keeps it in check even though he is driven half mad with his unrequited passion. He is a man who cares about the well-being of those he cares for and shows real love in action by putting thier needs above his own. I found this trait to make him almost irresistibly sexy. How many men (or women for that matter) love well enough to put other's needs first? Mmm...very, very sexy and a true alpha. I loved everything about this story. The characters were incredibly likeable and both possessed admirable character traits that one would love to find in their one true love and best friend.

    This book is a great read but it could of been better with more dialogue between characters.
    Most of the story is both Cleo and Xavier internally reliving their pasts. Cleo with her mother and younger sister, the lack of love, family or support. A out her ya ya and the emotional drama her mother caused. At one point I thought maybe her mother and sister would find out about Xavier and try to weasel their way into his life.
    Xavier's drama was the number his ex wife did on him emotional. He never loved her only married het to keep his twin baby girls in a family with both mother and father. But when he learned of her betrayal that brought him his precious little girls he distanced himself even more on to have divorce her a few months after the girls were born. She did a number on his trust in women.
    But Cleo is different. Tjey are both so utterly in love with each other they react differently but the same. It is not until a misunderstanding at an event that they come to terms that they are both in love with each other. It only took them over a year to get there. But once they crossed that line boy was it hot. They've built on their existing family and their existing businesses. A HEA.

    I liked the slow build-up of sexual tension ,but where did she find her unshakeable, powerful stand your ground strength ,when she would run away from a look in a crowd? X never seemed to be conveying full feelings with his "looks". This author was able to tie everything up with the run away ,go after her ,turn around ,go back ,scene . I am now following Ember and I recommend her to anyone who likes their reads "Spicy Hotcha"

    The first 26% of this book was like, yappity, yappity, yap, it was so much information about her life, it was getting really tiresome to listen to her dialogue of her life. But the story really started for me in chapter three with Xavier feelings and what he had to endure with his ex-wife and the mother of his twins.

    This story made me laugh out loud and even brought tears to my eyes.

    I wish that the book could have continued a little more in-depth about Cleo mother, close to the end of their story. We never heard anything about what happen or even if Cleo mother reach out to her once things had settle down with Cleo and Xavier...

    The author has given us characters that we can care about. In this case, it is love at first sight with Cleo and Xavier, however, neither one realizes that the other feels the same emotions as they do.
