His Daddy Omega (Sweet Alps Mates Book 5) Kindle Edition

4.5 out of 5 stars 494 ratings

Asher Pierce

Being an omega Daddy was frustrating, to say the least. But I had never met a challenge I couldn’t conquer, and Gabe Carmichael would be no different. From the first moment I had laid eyes on him sporting the cutest pair of little pajamas, I knew I wanted him. He called to both sides of me; to protect him as his Daddy, and to claim me as my alpha. I had to have both, even as my little bear ignored my flirtatious advances. When an injury makes it clear to us that Fate is on my side, I hope it’s the opportunity I need to convince my stubborn alpha little that he’s everything I’ve ever wanted and more.

Gabe Carmichael

As an alpha and a little, my dating life was a joke. Finding a Daddy? Impossible. No one wanted an alpha bear as a little! The thought of giving up my little side for a mate nearly brought me to tears. After a bad experience, hookups with strangers and playtime with my bestie were what I had left to fill the gap. Enter Asher Pierce. He turns my world upside down. Too pretty, too confident, and way too bossy for my liking. Better to avoid temptation than be hurt again. When I’m hurt saving a wolf cub, Fate steps in. Now Asher is everywhere I turn. Smelling like the sweetest omega, and spouting orders like the Daddy Dom he is. I don’t know what to do about any of it.

Could he be the Daddy I needed, while still allowing me to be the Alpha I was?

“His Daddy Omega” is book five in the Sweet Alps Mates series and can be read as a standalone,
but your readingpleasure may be enhanced by having read book four. While it is not necessary to have read the previous books, some readers find it more enjoyable since a few favorite characters make appearances. This book contains fated mates, opposites attract, Daddy/little (no ABDL), size difference, shifters, knotting, Mpreg, a shy bear with an alpha heart, and an overly assertive cheetah who likes to top from the bottom. TW: Discussions of loss of a parent, survivor parent alienation, and bullying. All actual events take place off page, but please be aware if these may trigger you.

Raiven Matthews lives in Northern Indiana where she is surrounded by corn fields, RV's and Notre Dame football. An avid reader from a young age, she discovered MM romance while reading fan fiction, and never looked back. She loves cats, her grandkids, and coffee and wine, equally. She often plots her books on her commute to her RL job, which is full of boring numbers and spreadsheets. She believes in writing happily-ever-after's with a twist, and her books are full of heat, heart and lots of humor.

This was another sweet addition to the series. I felt like it included the hurt/comfort trope, and it was nice to see the MCs connect. I do wish there was some insight into whether Asher had an opportunity to reconnect with his brother. I felt that was an unresolved area. Overall, I enjoyed the story.

I really liked this book. 4 star for rating, 3.5 for spice. The relationship development was pretty well done, especially with such different personalities. Asher is very self-assured and confident and Gabe is a stubborn shy bear. Seeing the extended found family was nice too.

    Warning: Spoilers!!

I’ve been so excited for Asher and Gabe since the third book where Brendan and Ryan were introduced. I loved the entire story!

Initially I hated Gabe’s father, but I did become more empathetic based on learning more about his loss. I still hate how he treated Gabe, but I understood it a little.

I was confused by the choice to make Allan and Maeve (Quinn’s parents) both dated mates of Mary Sinclair. I was surprised because why did it take so long for them to realize? They were close to one another since Lachlan and Quinn got together, so I was confused how they didn’t know. Especially since they would know they were fated mates once they touched. I feel like Mary would have hugged them or touch them in some way beforehand. I’m interested in seeing what Raiven does with this pairing. I’m not a huge fan personally and it feels a bit odd, but I’ve been obsessed with the series ever since the first book.

I feel like Wade and Finn were an obvious pairing based on the chapter in Lachlan’s story where Finn admits meeting his fated mate who hates him. I just don’t know how I feel about Mary and her two mates because it seemed very odd to me to be thrown in during this book

Another beautiful addition for raiven Matthews Sweet Alps series. Asher & Gabe kinks and personalities match perfectly on paper. Gabe is alpha/little, and Asher is an omega/daddy who live across the street from another and yet take their time getting to know each other. When Gabe in injured Asher protector mode engages, a little too much. Gabe doesn't handle it well to be polite. These two may be stubborn, yet they just work when they let down their walls. What I love about this fated mates series is that they do have a choice if they end up with their mate. Yes, they are pushed together, but they can choose not to be. Add to it the dynamics are not what you expect and just show you something different in the omegaverse world. Great read .

Oh my, I loved sweet little alpha Gabe. So shy to the outside world, but in the bedroom, he becomes the big bear alpha. Then he gets shot and finds his mate in a demanding omega Daddy, Asher.
Those two played cat and mouse will each other until it became impossible for them to stay away from each other.

A bear and a cheetah …wow that’s some kind of couple. Love this story. Gabe finally figured out what he wants and needs but is always so reluctant to go after it. Finding happiness is all he ever wanted.

I enjoyed the first half, but by the 70% mark I was pretty bored because the interactions between Gave and Asher, as well as all of their private thoughts, were just so repetitive.

Like five different times, Gabe begins to tell a story about his past that hurt him, but always stops because it’s too difficult. They spend very long time not together in this book, which also got annoying.

Gabe is as sweet as ever, but ultimately this isn’t one to repeat.

Y'all know I loved this 😭 It took me a little longer to read because I kept getting in my feels. Gabe gets his Daddy and happy ending and it's so good 😭 I love little Gabey and Daddy Asher and ::flails around:: I just loved it all. Loved the size difference and how they had to work through stuff together to get a relationship that works for them. I legit cried a couple times 😭

I do think you'll get better enjoyment by reading His Dangerous Omega first because you'll get a better understanding of some of the stuff that happens (especially in the beginning). I mean, I def rec reading them ALLLLLLL.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book

Oh wow, this book was so good, my favourite of the series so far. It was so nice to be back in Sweet Alps, it’s like coming home when you read another book in this amazing series. I loved Gabe and Asher’s relationship, it was so sweet. Asher was so patient with Gabe and let him find himself. I loved the Omega Daddy/ alpha little dynamic, it was so nice to read and a different twist on the trope. This book is full of love, heat and humour plus we have lots of visits from all of our favourite friends and family. Highly recommended to all.

5.0 out of 5 stars Feeling brave together

This book was just exactly what I needed today. It’s a total comfort story with a mash up of different tropes and references to my favorite movie, The Princess Bride. I have been reading this series and I don’t know why I missed this one, but probably because there are so many more books in the MM genre to read and never enough time. This one is definitely worth your time to read, as is the whole series which is better read in order as there is story that continues through them and stuff that overlaps.

4.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and kinky story
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on September 27, 2023
My Daddy Omega by Raiven Matthews, book 5 in the Sweet Alps Mates series. This is Gabe and Asher's book, so the first book that doesn't have a Sinclair brother as a main character.

This was a really sweet story, with strong themes of acceptance and not conforming to expected roles. Gabe is a big Alpha bear shifter who wants a mate and a family, but is also often shy and a Little in need of a Daddy as well. Asher is an Omega and a Daddy Dom. Gabe in particular has struggled with prejudice from within the Kink community and struggles with self-confidence.

I enjoyed getting Gabe and Asher's story to round out the series, having had these 2 circle each other in the background for much of the series. This book overlaps with the events of book 4 (His Dangerous Omega) and should be read as part of the series in order.

    In this you'll find:
    ✨MM PNR with spice
    ✨Omegaverse with MPreg
    ✨Fated mates
✨Daddy/little kink (age play, no ABDL)
    ✨Kodiak Bear + Cheetah shifter
    ✨Omega Daddy + Alpha Little
    ✨Gunshot wound
    ✨Unexpected pregnancy
    ✨Caesarean birth
    ✨Death of a parent
    ✨Estrangement from family
    ✨Found family
