Honor (Operation Justice Force Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.5 4.5 out of 5 stars 1,186 ratings

They really are perfect for each other with zero bullshit between them.

Oliver Rains joined Pegasus after the military to keep doing what he loves—helping out the innocent and putting scumbags in the ground where they belong. He was supposed to find a new team, not fall in love, but what he hadn’t counted on was former chief of police Parker Johnson walking into his life. The sexy man is everything he’s wanted for a long time.

Parker Johnson took early retirement from the police force after an altercation with the mayor. It wasn’t his fault the guy was a jackass. He landed a job with the elite unit of operatives known as Pegasus and it’s there he meets Oliver Rains. The ex-Special Forces soldier is the one he’s been searching for, but he’s never mixed his love life and his work before.

When Pegasus is asked to assist with taking down a sex trafficking ring, the unit jumps at the chance to help.

Then someone comes after Oliver. And Parker will do whatever it takes to keep him safe.
Get ready as Pegasus roars into action and delivers a beatdown to the bad guys.

I love romantic suspense so I was very excited to have the opportunity to listen to Honor by Reese Knightley from Tantor Audio. She has been an author I wanted to read and as soon as I read about this series, I knew I would love it. My instincts were spot on. I really enjoyed meeting the men of Pegasus even mid series, and can’t wait to go back to the beginning. Reese combines suspenseful plot with a sweet love story and just enough spice to allow readers to really feel the connection between her characters. Declan Winters is a new to me narrator, and I felt that his performance was absolutely superb. Even though he had a lot of characters to give voice to, they all felt distinct and I never struggled to know who was talking.

Oliver and Parker both work for Pegasus together and though they are both attracted to each other, they’ve only flirted for the past month. Oliver joined after a military career to keep helping others. Parker left the police force looking to leave a desk behind and get back out on the streets. When Pegasus is asked to help take down a sex trafficking ring, the unit agrees to help. But when Oliver is threatened, Parker realizes he will do anything necessary to keep him safe and while he can keep Oliver safe, his heart is another matter.

Honor was a yummy read with a nice balance between the suspense plot and the light angst love story. Add to it a large cast of strong, capable men and some humorous dialogue, and this story goes by in a flash. I’m so glad it’s a series because I already want more. Reese Knightley will be an author I know I’ll watch so I can snap up her latest releases.

Loved to see Oliver finally get his story! Have loved following him through both series. Parker was just what Oliver needed and vice versa. Always love seeing all the families together and loved seeing Jacob with his dad’s. Looking forward to Link and Eagle.

Parker Johnson is a retired police chief who left the force because of the mayor, but also to continue to fight for the justice of the people. Oliver Rains is an ex Special Forces who joined Pegasus after his retirement from the military. When he met Parker, there was an instant attraction.Parker liked what he saw in Oliver but he didn’t want to pursue a relationship with a colleague and having a hard time fighting the attraction. Oliver had a secret, a stalker and once the men of Pegasus found out, they set out to capture the guy. Pegasus was helping the Ventura Police department to apprehend and destroy a sex trafficking ring. Much love was shown between the men of Pegasus. This is Oliver and Parker’s story and it is worth reading. If you have read any of Reese other books you will know her storyline is so realistic with an understanding of just how corrupt this world is. I enjoy her stories because they help me to understand and see that someone cares enough to fight for Justice.

I love this author's books, all of her series are exciting and the characters and stories interesting. This series, Operation Justice Force, has started out just good as the previous ones. This particular book, Honor, was, although good, not quite as good as the first two. I did really like Parker and Oliver and their relationship. I felt the story was a little choppy and disjointed, shifting back and forth too often between the human trafficking, the stalker and the side jobs. But that was minor for me and I am looking forward to Ace's and Jacob's story.

Parker and Oliver have been skirting around each other since Parker left the police force as Chief of police and joined Pegasus. Oliver is extremely attracted to Parker but they are taking things slow. The action is never far behind with the team trying to bring down criminals and Parker finds out Oliver is being stalked which doesn't bode well for the stalker. Always great to have the Phoenix guys pop up when needed. An action filled love story where the good guys win and tough guys find love with a HEA. I cant wait for Ace and Jacob's story.

I liked the other books in this series, but this one was a little hard for me. I kind of disliked Oliver's personality, it seemed like half the book he was berating his poor guy and the other times pouting or trying to prove himself. Idk I'm hoping the next one will be better.

Loads of action and love to keep me satisfied! You do not want to miss the snark of Oliver as he teases the crap out of Parker! It's been a while coming but between a stalker and trouble at the office and human trafficking life moves quickly!!

2.0 out of 5 stars A bad apple in an otherwise entertaining universe
Reviewed in India on November 27, 2022
I've read all the other books in this universe — the entire Code of Honor series and the entire Out for Justice series and also the 2 previous books in this Operation Justice Force series. And they were all entertaining. This one was.... Bleh. I can't believe the same author wrote this. The characters felt fake. I couldn't stand them and God only knows what to make of their dynamic. I only stayed till the end cos I am invested in the series and I want to read the next 2 books and (God forbid) any further spin offs. The author introduced us to one of Ace's brothers in this book and there are apparently 4 more so....

Just finished in one sitting could not put down book 3 in part of a series this is Parker’s and Oliver’s story there is a bit of teasing between the character at first sort of together but not, I guess you could say dating with out begin aware they are but once they realise they are all in. Love the whole group dynamic and how they all interact even the new characters as always there is the action and a few near misses especially for some of the character which has you holding your breath but does work out and I am sure will work out in the future for others . So as alway really enjoyed this and look forward to more to come and I am sure it will not be the last time I go back to reread .

3.0 out of 5 stars this series is not as good as previous ones

2.5 stars. I’ve read all of RK’s books and was looking forward to Oliver’s story but like book 1 and 2, I found the writing in book 3 of this series to be disappointing. the plot premise is okay but underdeveloped. At times, there are too many characters introduced in one scene. barely any spicy scenes but that could just be me… and not a fan of the dialogue either. here’s hoping book 4 will be better.

Absolutely superb story which I couldn't put down. Thoroughly enjoyed every bit from start to finish. Was looking forward to reading this book and was not disappointed. Parker and Oliver's chemistry was just so real and beautiful I was glad they found each other. Looking forward to the next instalment of this fantastic series.
