An English Governess in Paris (The Victorian Orphans Saga Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 571 ratings

All alone in a foreign city. Surrounded by people who hate her. Can love survive in a cruel, wicked world?

Desperate to be closer to the young man she loves, Jane rushes off to Paris, where she takes up a position as governess for the children of the wealthy Lord and Lady Crawford.

But much to Jane’s dismay, Paris isn’t the idyllic paradise of love and affection she’s been dreaming of.

Life in the City of Lights turns out to be far less romantic than she had imagined.

And when an old enemy resurfaces, it’s the start of a nightmare that rapidly spins out of control.

Soon, Jane finds herself struggling for more than just her relationship.

How much is she willing to sacrifice?

Who can she trust, when danger and evil seem to lurk all around her?

And will she be able to save the lives of the people she cares about most?

‘An English Governess in Paris’ is another sweet and clean historical romance novel by Hope Dawson.

As the third book in The Victorian Orphans Trilogy, this story can be read on its own since it’s a standalone novel, set within a wider series with recurring characters.

Fans of Victorian historical romance authors such as Dilly Court, Rosie Goodwin and AnneMarie Brear are likely to adore Hope Dawson’s gripping romantic sagas.

Hope Dawson adores historical romance stories, and she loves the Victorian era. So you could say it was written in the stars for her to create Victorian romance sagas.

Why the Victorians?

Because they're so much like us! People in Victorian Britain lived in a time and a place that was changing rapidly, due to major technological advances.

Just like now.

Their world was turned upside down, and they sometimes struggled to make sense of it all.

Just like we do.

Fortunes were made, and lost. Hearts were broken, and mended.

Just like today.

And throughout it all, brave girls and women stayed strong - and kept believing in a better future.

Hope Dawson's sagas are a tribute to the power of love and the strength of the human spirit in the face of adversity.
