    How to review this book without giving anything away? That's hard, but I'll do it b/c I rarely review books and b/c I loved and re-read this book so many times that I honestly feel guilty not reviewing it...

    Have you ever read a book so emotional that you needed a light-hearted, fun read afterwards? Ever read a book so fun and reinvigorating that you were able to jump back into the emotional typhoon some other books represent? Well that's this book...all in one. Will you cry? Probably. Will you laugh? If you have a sense of humor, you will. Will you want to choke the s*** out of the heroine? Oh hell yes. Will you need to fan yourself? Put on your Sunday hats and flex that wrist b/c it's getting hot in here.

    Our heroine, Claire, is just turning 40 and we're catching up with her a few years after she's had her marriage blown out of the water. The author writes Claire's emotions with real and gut-wrenching accuracy. It's the collapse of her life. This isn't the end of a 6-mos or even 5-yr relationship. We're talking a couple decades of a life built only to discover it was all a lie. Now she has to start over at an age when most women would feel they've passed their prime...hard stuff. If you've ever been in her situation or can even imagine it, then you might want to pick up a few tissues on your way home, b/c you will ugly cry. It's this part of the book that helps us emotionally connect with Claire and will help us still root for her when she puts her stupid hat on later in the book. And she puts in on with gusto, so pay attention...Oh, and insure your e-reader just incase you crack the screen when you're shaking it with fury at Claire.

    And then we have Jonathan. His scenes with Claire and the way he bull-in-a-china-shop breaks through her nonsense are the emotional catharsis we need for Claire's crap (see, told you--an all-in-one book). He's one of those perfect book boyfriends--sexy, smart, generous, patient (but not sexually patient, oh no. He gets down and dirty, and he does it in the blink of an eye...but who's complaining? No one, that's who), and persistent. He's the kind of awesome that makes you want to repeatedly slap Claire, go ice your hand, and then slap Claire some more. Plus, he's dealing with some history of his own that should make his emotional baggage make Claire's look like a mere carry-on. But does he succumb to his past? No, not even a little bit. And we love him all the more for it.

    And if you're dying for an epilogue, fear not. Scoot yourself over to the author's blog, b/c she wrote one for us. Blessed woman. I hope this review gets you excited, b/c her book is wonderful, and I can't recommend it enough! Happy reading!

    I like the characters on Whitney's series very much - excellent, richly-defined people. 40 year-old Claire, mother of teenaged twin girls just starting college started a relationship (mostly based on sex) with exceedingly wealthy - and 11 years younger Jonathan Statham in the prior book "Mid-Life Love" - you don't have to have read that first, but you'll want to. In this book, the two of them are taking their relationship well beyond sexual; the book focuses on informing Claire and Jonathan's present by going more in depth into each of their haunted pasts- he as the poor, trailer-trash child of horrid meth-head parents, and she as the betrayed woman whose husband cheated on her with her best friend. Her ex and his mother (as well as the sister he practically raised) figure into the book quite a bit. Add in Claire's exploding career in interior design, a wedding to plan and lots of spicy sex and you've got yourself a really strong, enjoyable story. Star held back because I didn't care for how Jonathan used sex almost as a weapon at times, and that Claire had inner conflict that often ended maddeningly in unexpressed inner dialogue and actions conflicting with true feelings. Ended with a bit of intrigue too. Nice job.

This novel picked up right where the last novel left off and took me on such a fun ride. I loved loved loved Jonathan and Claire's story. This novel was so much fun.     Since I one-clicked this book as the second in the MID LIFE LOVE series back in 2014, this FALLING FOR MR STATHAM duet from Author Whitney G. has been a favourite re-read.

    It’s hot as all hell and as steamy as a sauna, and I love every minute that I’ve spent reading it over the years. I love older women / younger men romances, and Jonathan Statham as a sexy self-made millionaire is just gorgeous as the alpha hero who can’t believe the woman he’s obsessed with doesn’t see herself in the same way that he does.

    For me it’s an easy low-angst re-read, and I can’t even recall who many times I’ve read them, but I’ll just say that I highly recommend them, that’s for sure!!!! It deserves all the 5-re-read-Stars! 🖤💕✦

    This is the second part of the love story between Clarie and Jonathan and I as well enjoyed the read. In this case, the plot is not focused on the age difference but in Claire's past when she founds out her ex-husband is in the same city as her. It's a nice love story.

    I really enjoyed this story because of Johnathon. He was exactly what I love in a story. I am a sucker for the true alpha-male billionaire who can only be tamed by that one special lady. HOWEVER, in this story I really didn't like the heroine. Usually, if I don't like a heroine in time I warm up to her but in this case I liked her less and less as the story went on. I hated her attitude towards his money and her daughters were even worse! she was grateful for her second chance in life and I got the sense like she took everything for granted. I did love that Ryan got what he deserved and in the end it was Johnathon who made up for all the things I didn't like and made me love the story:) I really love the way Whitney Gracia Williams writes and I look forward to reading more of her work.
