    The storyline and apocalypse scenario are unique and well done overall. It didn't feel like it was a rehash of the same old plot. The characters were also likeable and human. However, except for a few of the main on occasion they got confusing. Minor characters were thrown into important parts at times without much of an introduction. Things were occasionally repeated more than once also, and not in a unique way. The series could use some fleshing out and editing. Overall, I kept reading so it obviously kept my interest even with its flaws.

    There are battles against the infected at almost every turn. Avoidance is impossible for the found family, and that’s getting bigger, even with some losses. Lil is still a favourite. Though there are a few characters that’ll stay with her in my memory. This last book has been memorable!
