Master Undone takes place a day after Being Me and is in Marks point of view.
After I finished Bring Me I was really hoping to hear more from Mark! Lisa knows what her readers want and we do!! We see a whole new side to Mark. I loved being in his head, seeing that there is more to the Dominate Master we have come to love! He is just as messed up as any of them. He is in so much pain and has so much guilt over the loss of Rebecca. He cared for her and I think he wanted to love her.That is what makes it harder for him because she was so in love with him she was willing to do anything for him, but he is tormented by something that he feels he is not capable of love. He uses his role as master to keep women at arm's length and for control. Then he meets one women that will be the complete opposite of what he wants or needs. He is in New York on an Urgent family matter and is thrown when he meets Crystal Smith. She is Independent and outspoken. The complete opposite from his subs. Is she what he needs to heal his broken spirit? He has never felt so out of control in his life. She will take our Dominate Master on a roller coaster ride of emotions and leave him speechless! An alpha female for our ultimate alpha male. I really hope their will be more to Mark and Crystal's story!!

    THE MASTER UNDONE is the fifth novella in Lisa Renee Jones Inside Out Novellas and told from the `Masters' POV. Do not read before Being Me, as it contains a major spoiler.

    Mark Compton has had 2 major blows in his life in the last 24 hours. First he found out that his submissive, and someone he allowed himself to get really close to, was killed at the hands of her replacement. And now, he's just been told that his mother has stage 3 breast cancer and needs a double mastectomy. With his personal life in turmoil, Mark will discover a feisty, independent female, a woman whom his mother respects and trusts, in the guise of one Crystal Smith.

    Good intentions are all very well in theory; reality is often very different. When Mark meets Crystal Smith who works for Riptide in New York he finds himself dealing with reactions and emotions that are quite new to him.

    Crystal Smith is the complete opposite of the sort of woman Mark usually finds himself attracted to; blond, assertive, independent and without a submissive bone in her body, she shouldn't affect him at all. And yet:

    "She's everything I don't like in a woman, and yet I can't take my eyes of her."

    Chris has also spoken to Mark and let him know that he "Would walk through Hell with him right now" as he deals with his mother's illness. Will this help start to mend the rift between two friends. Will Mark learn to relinquish the tight control he has to have over everyone. This book helps you to realize that Mark is human after all. I can NOT wait for Revealing Us as after that it is my understanding that Mark will have his full length story. I am very much looking forward to that.

    Not a great in depth book. However it was an enjoyable read and the characters were well written considering it is a novella.

    The book is a good look at how a master becomes undone in his quest to be in control ALWAYS. The run in with his employee and her outlook to him and his ways soon has him at his knees.
