She is working on finishing her Family Tree series...Summer's Growth and Fallen Leaves. (Paranormal Romantic Suspense) The last two Winter Wonders and Spring Rebirth will come out in the next two years.

    voluntary review of arc
IT Exec’s Baby is the second book in the Executive Wives Club by author Tina Gayle. I have not read the series before and I was not lost starting with this story.
Brie, she is a new mom. She is dealing with a ton of emotions. One being baby blues, the other the loss of her husband. Throw a newborn into the mix and she is literally all over the place emotionally.
I felt so for her. She is a smart woman stuck in a horrible situation. She is strong, she is smart, and she has a plan.
Jason loves her and he will do his part to help her. But he wants her to have a clear head about this choice. Because for him this will be a forever marriage.
I loved Jason. He is a great character who made me smile and cheer for him.
Overall a great read and I loved the characters very much.

New mothers have it tough but Brie has it worst than most. Very entertaining book.

Firstly, let me start by thanking author Tina Gayle for restoring my faith in Indie books. It was lovely to read a book that was well crafted and not littered with spelling and grammar mistakes. There were still a couple but at no point did they draw me out of the story or hinder my enjoyment of Birth.

Right, now on with the review. Birth tells the story of Brie Sullivan, an executive wife that lost her husband in an accident that claimed four men in total.

From the start, I was gripped by the concept, as it is every wife and mother's worst nightmare. Imagine the horror of finding out the husband you adore and the father to your two children has been killed. Then add to it the bittersweet torment of finding out you are pregnant with his child. You must now face an uncertain future, raising three children alone when all you ever wanted was to be part of a family.

While this is a nightmare scenario for any parent, I actually saw this play out when a very good friend of mine died overseas. She left a husband and three very young children behind, and being in a foreign country, we were heavily involved in the whole tragic affair. It was heartbreaking and I saw firsthand how hard it is to carry on when your spouse dies unexpectedly. This book brought to the forefront a lot of the emotions of that time, which really helped me to connect to the characters and to feel the pain they were feeling.

The story starts after the birth of Brie's daughter, Isabella. I imagine that parts of her pregnancy story unfolded in Book 1 of The Executive Wives - how Jason, who also lost his father in the crash that took Brie's husband, has been helping out around the house, and was her support person when Isabella was born.

But now Brie is struggling to adjust to this new life that has been thrust upon her. She is stressed out by her older children, totally sleep deprived and lacking the energy or motivation to care for herself or her house. She knows people are judging her but what can she do?

Propose to Jason, that's what. It might seem like her proposal comes out of left field and stinks of desperation but I had to keep asking myself, in the same situation, would I want to do it alone or would I be looking for someone to share the load? Brie isn't looking for a husband, as such. She is looking for a father for her children and who better than Jason who has already shown how much he cares for them?

However, as much as Jason cares for her - maybe even loves her - he recognises the proposal as a plea for help. Jason is pretty sure Brie is suffering from post natal depression and her desperation for a husband stems from her inability to cope.

He turns down her proposal but when it becomes obvious Brie will do it with or without him (even offering to pay a man to marry her) he realises he will have to marry her or risk losing her forever to another man.

Birth is almost a love story in reverse. The marriage comes first, then the sex, and finally the love - at least from Brie's point of view. It is tender and poignant at times, and full of strong descriptive passages.

Birth reads like a Mills and Boon novel, at least in terms of its love scenes, but it has more depth than a M&B book and far more heart.

While I enjoyed the book right from the start, it took me about five chapters to really fall in love with the characters. From there, I was not able to put the book down until I finished it.

I also liked how it explored the struggle Brie's daughter Allison had with accepting a new man in her mother's life.

Was quite surprised by the scene where Hagan realigns baby Isabella's back and stops her from being such a fussy, crying baby. Made me wonder how many babies have been in pain and is that why they cry so much.

My only complaint overall was that I wanted to know more about the other Executive Wives as well, but I know their stories unfold in the other books within the Executive Wives series. I'll just have to be patient and wait for them to come out.

Overall, a really well written, beautifully paced Indie book with a heart of gold.

In Birth, Brie Sullivan is dealing with almost more than she can bear. She has a new baby and post partum depression, but she is also looking reluctantly to the future. Her decision to find a father for her children is difficult because she's not sure she can ever love anyone again.

Jason is kind and working so hard to help her, you just can't help hoping he'll win her heart. This is an engaging story with steamy sex scenes that offers a good read for all romance fans.

Birth is book 2 in the Executive Wives Club series, and you find out more about the other executive wives' lives which enriches the series. This is what I love about series books. Every book gives you more about the characters that you've fallen in love with during the first book.

    *3.5 Stars*

IT Exec's Baby is the second book in the Executive Wives' Club series. While I did not read the first book of the series and was able to enjoy the book, I think it would probably benefit the reader to read the series in order. There were several things that I still don't understand even having finished the book, like what kind of accident killed the Executives?

Over all this was a well written story, with some really interesting characters and an easy to read plot. The relationship between Jason and Brie is sweet and though there is erotic scenes in the book, it's never too heavy or intense.

While I felt that the book was well written, I did have some minor issue which brought it's rating down for me. First, I had a bit of a hard time connecting with Brie as a main character. She seemed a bit whinny and didn't have much self-esteem when it came to handling situations. Yes, I get that she had post-postpartum depression, which bring us to another matter... one minute she has it and is struggling, the next minute she's taking medication and is "all better". I was also really struggled with this book because you never see the love between Jason and Brie blossom. When this story begins they're already smitten with each other, though they are unwilling to tell the other person.

*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinions*

Brie Sullivan never expected to propose to a man, let alone with a ready made family in tow. Widowed and struggling with a newborn and two other children, Brie decides she needs a husband to save her family.

Jason Clark has not turned Brie down but he wants a wife who will love him. He cares deeply for Brie but questions her motives. When he decides to marry her, they both find themselves adjusting to a new family and a wife. Learning to communicate will be a key factor in their future, will they be able to learn to work as a partnership?

I thought this was a fantastic read. I felt for Brie, she is struggling and I think doesn't know how to ask for help. Jason was a sweetheart, he had to become an instant dad and learn to deal with Brie who at times seems more fragile than he can remember. Look forward to more in this series.
