If the Ring Fits: A BRAND NEW utterly hilarious fake-marriage romance from Camilla Isley for 2025 (Funny Feelings Book 2) Kindle Edition
When Life Gives You Lemons, Fake an Engagement
When investment banker Adrian and software engineer Rowena started the day, they didn't expect to end it engaged! But Adrian has invented a fake fiancée to impress his CEO, regretting the lie almost immediately, and now he is in hot water. Meanwhile, Rowena's career has just gone up in flames, leaving her unemployed, unexpectedly expecting with no father in the picture, and short of options. When fate throws these two hot messes into a meet-cute of epic proportions, it's a match made in rock-bottom heaven. They say love is blind, and with nothing to lose, Adrian gets down on one knee... and Rowena says yes!
The rules of engagement are simple:
Pretend to be madly in love
Keep their real lives separate
Absolutely, positively do NOT catch feelings
However, faking it is harder than they thought, especially when every overnight stay comes with only one bed and zero personal space—blurring that imaginary line between 'just business' and 'definitely personal.'
Soon, their carefully constructed charade starts to feel alarmingly... real. Can Adrian and Rowena stick to their engagement pact, or will their fake relationship graduate to something authentically messy, complicated, and wonderful?
Find out in this hilarious, heartwarming tale of two strangers who said "I do" before they even said "Hello." Because sometimes, the worst day of your life just might lead to the best mistake you'll ever make.
If the Ring Fits is an age gap, marriage of convenience rom-com with a multi-millionaire MMC and a STEM FMC perfect for fans of Lynn Painter, Sarah Adams and Fallon Ballard...

About the author

Camilla is an engineer who left science behind to enter the whimsical realm of romantic fiction.
She writes contemporary rom-coms. Her characters have big hearts, might be a little stubborn at times, and love to banter with each other. Every story she pens has a guaranteed HEA that will make your heart beat faster. Unless you're a vampire, of course.
Camilla is a cat lover, coffee addict, and shoe hoarder. Besides writing, she loves reading—duh!—cooking, watching bad TV, and going to the movies—popcorn, please. She's a bit of a foodie, nothing too serious. A keen traveler, Camilla knows mosquitoes play a role in the ecosystem, and she doesn't want to starve all those frog princes out there, but she could really live without them.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2025I absolutely loved this book! The banter, the realism, the perfect blend of charm, romance, and STEM—perfection! I couldn’t wait to read it —even sacrificed sleep (with an infant at home) to find out what happened next! Can’t wait for the next book in the series! Definitely will reread this, their love story is so
sweet!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 16, 2025If the Ring Fits starts as a marriage of convenience between Rowena, newly pregnant and recently fired, and Adrian, cutthroat worker up for the CEO position in his company. Adrian needs to make his image more family oriented and tells his boss about his fiancee and the child they are expecting (which don't exist). As fate would have it Adrian and Rowena meet by chance and strike up a rapport and enter into a marriage of convenience. But as they start putting on a show for others, they both realize the attraction between each other and begin to wonder if this is real.
Camilla Isley never disappoints with her romance books. She writes great characters and wonderful yearning romance. I enjoyed Rowena's character as she was a softer FM. She had an underlying strength, but was not afraid to be vulnerable and acceot help. I did enjoy her coming into herself as the story went on and going after what she wanted.
Adrian was a huge cinnamon roll. Initially, he seems like he will be a tough guy but immediately shows a soft side whenever he is with Rowena. I loved how you could slowly feel him falling in love with Rowena. He was so caring of her and doing whatever he could t9 make her feel at ease
Their romance was sweet and full of them pining for each other most of the book. Everytime you thought they were going to give into their feelings, one of them pulled back. While I am not a fan of a pregnancy trope, I enjoyed how the author worked it into the story. Also, her portrayal of Rowena's difficulties as a new mother were very real and relatable. Readers could definitely feel her struggles. Another wonderful romance.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 21, 2025STEM girl, secret nerdy finance CEO with a heart of gold. Life-happening. Craziness-yes. Communication-yes. Then -no. But yes. They figure it out.... eventually. Loved this story. Would read this author again.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 31, 2025As the story begins, Adrian and Rowena are about to sign their divorce papers but Rowena doesn’t want it to be happening. The story then unfolds as to how they got to this point starting with their meet cute involving vomiting in a public restroom where they agree to a fake engagement pact so that Adrian can get the promotion he’s after and Rowena can get the insurance and help she needs with her unexpected pregnancy from her horrible ex, which would be a win for both of them. That is, if they can avoid catching feelings for each other in the process.
No, it’s not the most original storyline, but it was super fun because of their banter and chemistry. I couldn’t help but root for them to get together in the end.
If you’re a fan of strangers to lovers, one bed laugh out loud scenes with really real characters, this one is for you!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2025This was quite the meet-cute—if you can call it that! Bonding over being ill in adjacent bathroom stalls, Adrian and the heroine strike up an unusual conversation. Adrian, a high-stakes stock trader, is feeling nauseous over a lie he told his boss to secure a promotion—claiming he has a pregnant fiancée when, in reality, his personal life is nonexistent. Meanwhile, she has just discovered she’s pregnant with her emotionally abusive ex’s child and, to make matters worse, has lost her job.
Through their conversation, Adrian proposes a mutually beneficial arrangement: she pretends to be his fiancée for work events, and in return, she gets to live rent-free as she prepares for her baby’s arrival. Despite their ten-year age gap, she holds her own in his fast-paced world, her programming skills giving her a unique edge in a room full of stock traders. As they spend more time together, their attraction grows, and she’s ready to turn their fake relationship into something real. However, Adrian hesitates, believing his workaholic nature will prevent him from giving her the love and stability she deserves. As the reality of losing her sets in, he realizes he’s willing to do whatever it takes to make their unconventional marriage work.
The marriage-of-convenience trope is always entertaining, and this one was executed well. The chemistry between the characters felt natural, and their emotional struggles added depth to their relationship. Overall, an engaging and heartfelt read!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Heartwarming Read
Another great book following on from the first. This book follows another one of the housemates. Again characters that you fall for and lots of twists and turns. I honestly struggled to put this book down. I always enjoy the books by this author.

4.0 out of 5 stars A fun marriage of convenience book
From the moment I started it was hard to put down.
Rowena is having a bad day, she recently broke up with her boyfriend, has found out she's pregnant and has just heard the news she's been let go, this sends her racing to the bathroom to empty her insides.
Adrian is hoping for a promotion and has just found out he's not a great candidate because he's not a "family-guy". This, and probably the bad sushi he ate sends also sends him to the bathroom to evacuate his insides.
There, between the stalls he "meets" Rowena and they end up striking a deal. He'll help her out, if she pretends to be his fake girlfriend/fiance for a spell.
Same old faking/marriage of convenience type deal.. eye roll... nuh, uh,uh... now hold on....!
Rowen and Adrian strike a deal and forge a sweet friendship while living together.
Of course, close confines bring individuals together, exposing them and making them vulnerable.
As they carry on their ruse, they can't help but be attracted to one another. Adrian is a perfect gentleman and keeps his distance. Well, you just have to read it to enjoy the rest!
"Closed door" romance with a surprise at the end!

5.0 out of 5 stars couldn’t put this down

3.0 out of 5 stars Sweet story
I didn’t find Aidan and Rowena’s story particularly hilarious but it was a nice story about two people who met in unusual circumstances, both were distraught and after talking about their issues Aidan came up with a solution that would help them both.
Agreeing to fake engagement seemed a great idea at the time but the reality of spending time together started to cause problems for each of them and these problems continued into their fake marriage.
A nice, easy read.
