    This mafia read wasn't long so it's wonderfully short if you're looking for something quick. This novel is my first time reading a reverse harem and I wasn't exactly sure I'd be into it, but Rose's sex scenes are saucy and hot. I enjoyed her tough, independent female lead and am excited to see how she advances the storyline in the continuation of the series. The one issue that I had was the lack of contractions in the characters dialogues. A lot of 'I am', 'can not', 'do not', and the like that you wouldn't see in most informal conversations. Apart from the overly formal dialogue, I am very interested in following up on this series!

    Amara is headstrong and knows what she wants and stands for what her father's business is all about. She is NOT the little girl they remember her as. I LOVE how independent and strong Amaras character is and how it was shown to get strong after being away for 10 years.

    What a good ending as well to really leave you hanging on to get to book #2! 🤯

    This is the first book I read from author Aaliyah Rose and boy am I glad I did.

    A story of a Don’s daughter who narrowly escapes a massacre of her mother and brother thanks to her desire for Santino, aka “Sandman”, a guard for her father. Since she laid eyes on him, she’s desired him for years. The night of her and her fathers birthday, she decides to act on that desire.

    Santino recognizes the look of longing in Amara’s eyes but he’s no fool. Having sex with his boss’s daughter is a sure way to get himself killed.

    He’s lured away from the main room by her and that act saves her life and his.

    When all is said and done, Amara is sent away from the city to protect her until all those responsible all found and killed.

    When she returns eight years later, Amara is no longer the inexperienced, and scared girl she was when she was sent away. She is a woman who knows what she wants … to run the family business

    Surprising her father on their birthday, she announces she is home to stay. He’s sure he’ll send her away again but Amara will have none of it. She’s out for blood. For those who killed her mother and brother and the one who has wronged her.

    The story quickly escalated with intrigue and surprise. No one more surprised than Sandman when he sees how the years have changed her, in very adult ways.

    If you are a fan of hot sex scenes and a great story, I highly recommend this book to you. You won’t be disappointed.

    I’ve already preordered the next book in the series.

    I voluntarily read and reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I am not such a fan of reverse harem books but this one had a mafia element, which is one of my favorite genres, so give it a try and was not disappointed. This is the third time I have read a story from Aaliyah Rose, I like the reverse harem trope and this one lived up to the description. Look forward to reading more from this author.

    Amara has her work cut out for her. She wants to make her father see that she is more than capable of managing his mafia organization. Amara begins to show all of the group just how strong of a woman she has become and not the girl they all remember. This book is a page-turner for sure ! The characters and scenes come to life on each page ! Lots of drama, romance and adventure. Can't wait for Book 2 !
    I know I am going to enjoy reading this series ! I received this book as an advanced reader copy for my honest opinion.
