The music. The lights. The costumes.
The ice is my stage. I own it.

My constant reminders are a wrecked knee, more negative thoughts I can count and a brand new "coach" trying to rehab me back into a life I'm not sure I want anymore.

I convinced myself to hate him, even if he's supposed to have the best intentions for me. However, an impromptu road trip forces us into close quarters. Hating him becomes more challenging than I ever could have imagined.

With every new thing I learn about him, I feel as if I learn something new about myself because he's, as much as I hate to admit it, exactly what I need in my darkest moments.

    Spencer is not sure what is next after injuring his knees twice and not doing well on the European side of Hockey. It has been his dream but it can't be anymore and the woman he has been with for a long time moves on. He gets a chance at helping an injured figure skater gain her confidence back physically and mentally. Cierra Marie Avila is twenty one and her injury has caused her to feel she can never get back to the way she was. Spencer starts to train her and set up a program for her healing. Then they take a road trip to California and things change. The forbidden aspect was obvious as they stay together in Las Vegas and California as well as spend time like a couple. I did not feel much about them together but I liked the scenes on the ice. I was wondering what he does for work once they officially get together.

    This is Spencer and Cierra’s story. Spencer’s NHL dream shattered and ended due to an injury, while Cierra is a figure skater who is trying to recover from an injury. Spencer is brought in by her coach to help Cierra, and he takes her on an impromptu road trip to rehab her injury, but she is at a crossroads and is not sure if skating is her dream anymore. The sparks fly between these two, and the close proximity of a road trip has the lines becoming blurred regarding their relationship.
    This is a well written story which is an emotionally charged, enemies / lovers’ story, with close proximity, humor, witty banter, undeniable chemistry, family, friendships, undeniable chemistry, and love, which leads to an entertaining, thought provoking, and heartfelt, addictive page turner.
    I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.
