    This book was beautifully written!
    I loved Dani and Logan’s banter❤️

    They would pretend to be characters from different movies every time they see each other.

    Logan met Dani after he had a one night stand with her roommate and needed a ride home (sneaking out🤣), and they never thought they would see each other again.

    Logan is a Surfer play boy and Dani is just trying to get through life after losing her fiancé in a car crash.

    There are tragedies in both of their lives and they try to be there for each other as friends, while just trying to stay friends 😉

    I really wanted to love this book. It had such potential (for me). Of course there has to be a twist and it all fell apart for me. Also of course this is another book with a playboy, Logan, and he cant remember or believe how many women hes slept with ( mind you hes 23). Dani has been through more heart break, maybe why thats why she acts like this news doesnt shocker her or upset her, but man shes alot stronger than I would be.It was a good start in the way they were falling for one another. I really enjoyed how they would "act by playing parts" from movies with eachother. They seemed to really connect. There always has to be that little extra twist that gets me going. But aside from what I didnt like in the book I did like how they fell in love with one another.

    Peeling back Logan’s layers was a journey for me. I love love love Dani. Logan really had to work for it, but he did! He became so much more than the irresponsible playboy he used to be. I thoroughly enjoyed watching Dani blow into his life and flip it up side down.

    Having read When Nothing Else Matters and Still Here Without You i started looking forward to more from this author and series! As soon as this third installment was announced i wanted to read it! I picked it up and got right back into the Heartstrings world! I enjoyed it!

    Dani and Logan's journey had my attention right from the very get go! Dani and Logan have quite the memorable first meeting. As their paths keep crossing, will they go their own ways? or will they give into to how they feel?

    I really liked how the ball got rolling right from the start and how both Dani and Logan captured my attention. I so enjoyed the movie references between these two and their interactions. I was glad that i got to dig into both of their minds. The realness got to me. I didn't know how they'd tackle things in their lives and everything between them. These two had great chemistry! I loved that i went through many emotions throughout.

    Sometimes a person can walk into your life and it changes things, something Dani and Logan's journey sure showed! I so enjoyed getting to reunite with the Heartstrings crew!

    With It Had To Be Us, Ms.Jay has created such a good read with many feels that'll keep you turning the pages! I am so looking forward to diving back into this series with the fourth installment, Truly Madly Deeply Mine! 🧡

    Another fantastic read-emotion filled, full on journey for wonderful characters that deserve the best HEA ever.

    True to form this author starts her characters off with such a fun meet-cute, sweet moments, laughs and a unique, quirky inside joke that makes you smile every time it pops up on the page. Logan and Dani instantly see something in one another, their journey is worth it.

    The emotion put into this story made me feel everything the whole time. I hurt for these characters. Both Logan and Dani had been through so much in their lives.

    These two experienced grief, guilt, and trauma at every turn, it was not an easy road for them. They were tested and broken down at times, but the connection they shared was so deep and special. They understood each other so well, could read one another and the comfort between them was great.
    I loved how much love Dani had to give, and how truly wonderful she was in the sweetest and most caring way. She may come off as a little shy, but the trauma that she was dealt was deep and watching her overcome everything that life threw at her was great.
    Logan learned so much about himself during this book, I loved his protective side. He has such a big heart, but often didn’t give himself enough credit.

    I loved the twists of this story. I was captivated y these characters and all they had to offer.
    Dani and Logan both went through so much growth, it made for such a beautiful story.
    They find strength in each other, and the confidence to move forward to be the best then can be.

    I don't know where to start to talk about this wonderful book. If you read the previous books in this series you've probably been waiting for Logans book as much as I had.
    It was hopeful and painful, so intense und unpredictable and the characters are so authentic. I love the way Logan is slowely falling for Dani and the way Katherine describes the process. There are funny moments, where you can literally feel the connection and love between them. I am trying hard to not give too many spoilers, but their "relationship" is also complicated due to external circumstances.

    I love Katherine's writing style and the way she builds characters and relations. This one's again very special and not to be missed. It should be on your TBR for 2023.
