    Loved this start of a new spinoff series from the Sweetwater Pack that focuses on the Northarbor Coven and some of the other supernaturals. I enjoyed seeing the connections and cameos to the other series especially for readers who are familiar with those books but you don’t need to have read that series to enjoy this book.

    The novella focuses on Cody and Toth and is a fast paced, fun read for this fated mates pair. Cody is an absolute sweetheart-been through a great deal and keeps moving forward. He volunteers and donates his salary to worthy causes and puts others ahead of himself. He’s had a tough run of life but maintains a positive attitude. Toth has been pulled into service to wreck havoc in Cody’s life but after meeting him and being around him, he just can’t do it. He’s not grumpy but highly annoyed at dealing with his contract. But how can you not love a purple supernatural with a cat who has wings? Their interactions together are adorable and low angst.

    I always enjoy a found family story and the people that are drawn to Cody are great secondary characters. Can’t wait to see what’s in store for this series. We’ve gotten a glimpse of Damon and Mori and hope there’s definitely more to their story!

    I've really enjoyed Stuart's shifter books, and I was excited to see she was starting a demon series. This is a spin-off from the Sweetwater Pack series, and while readers will notice some familiar faces, but you could easily start with this series. This was a super quick, low angst read. It wasn't overly complex, but had plenty going on to keep my attention.

    Cody and Toth are super loveable. They have this instalust thing going on, but it's complicated by Toth's situation. I'm generally not a fan of instalust/love, but it worked for these two. There's a couple spicy scenes, including some tail action! I really liked Damon as well, and I'm excited to see him get his own book.

    This wasn't what I expected from Stuart. Most of the stuff I've read from her (and the Sweetwater Packer series especially) is a lot angstier than this. It was still a good story that I enjoyed reading, plus I got the world building and most of the emotion I've come to expect from this author. I'm interested to see how the next book in the series plays out

    OK, why did I wait so long to read this? Seriously? Love demons and love witches combined make my favorite kind of stories!
    Jax does not disappoint with this new spinoff series from her popular Sweetwater Pack series( which will admit haven't read all of yet, have time be in a mpreg mood). A great introduction to this universe, and I can not wait to see who gets paired off next!
    So yes, it can be read as a standalone, short quick read to introduce you to Jax paranormal writing style (which I love!). So dive in and enjoy!

Cody is a low level witch. His magic is almost non existent. Toth is a Demon under contract. Toth knows he can't harm Cody when he meets him. The reason made for a FANTASTIC Book.     This is a paranormal romance the first of a series interconnected with other series by the same author and I would recommend reading in order. I thought this story had a humorous tinged to the seriousness of the previous series and it was truly a delight to read! I highly recommend this story if you like witches, demons and shifters!

    January Blues is a Novella located within the Sweetwater Pack area Northhabour. While it is a spin-off of the Sweetwater Pack books it can be read as a stand alone, you don’t need to have read the Sweetwater Pack books to get the story (but, since I ADORE them, I urge you to do so -but, no pressure 😂)
