-Rules are my favorite.

-Order relaxes me.

-Tattooed boys with shaggy hair and soulful eyes are strictly off-limits.

I’ve recently come to the conclusion I’m bad at boyfriends. But as terrible as I am at choosing them, even I would never consider my sister’s former crush—tall, growly, enigmatic Ivan Sokolov. That’s a line I won’t cross, even if Delilah is way over him.

Ivan is just my swim teammate.

The guy who walks me to class and shares his playlists.

And he’s the person who keeps stealing my study room. Sure, there are others, but room three is mine. Which I let him know, in no uncertain terms.

The thing is, Ivan thinks my bluntness is adorable. He’s not scared off by my dozens of questions or need to move. My quirks are cute to him.

And I…well, I can’t stop looking at him, even though I shouldn’t. I also can’t resist following him—just a little—to find out his secrets.

I know better. Bullies and a lifethat hasn’t always been kind have toughened me up. I’m a realist and this is black and white.

Except when Ivan’s lips touch mine and my orderly world is turned upside down, I suddenly start to see how beautiful gray can be.

Julia Wolf has done it again! I loved this story and loved Ivan and Evelyn. Evelyn was just so deep, how she thought, felt and loved. The autistic waits were portrayed in such a positive light and I fell in love with her along with Ivan. Ivan had things he had to overcome, but what I loved most was the way he authentically cared for and fell in love with Evelyn. I loved the way he always made sure she was comfortable and always listened to her. He truly understood her. It was beautifulThe epilogues really made me continue to want more. It showed being strong and independent and standing up for what you want and who you love can be done and turn the course of your life. Definitely is a must read.

I was very excited to see that Ivan and Evelyn would be the next book in this series when These Two Wrongs closed out.

This author did not disappoint in any of the ways with this book.

Once again, this author is just keep stretching her talent in all of the ways of writing. The growth she has been taking in her characters through out the Savage Academy series is phenomenal. I've been so thrilled to see accurate neurodivergent characters handled with ease, grace, kindness, and truth. In Jump On Three and These Two Wrongs the author credits her sensitivity reader for Evelyn's character and I can not help piling on my own praise to this reader as Evelyn just jumps off the page as such a lovely full human in the perfect ways of someone who may be in my own life. I loved reading her and Ivan's story.

Stepping away from the accurate representation of Evelyn and her world, there is also is the story of Ivan an Evelyn which was just so incredibly strong, sweet, and giving. I loved seeing Ivan with all of his brash personality bend so willing and immediately make small changes to make himself approachable to Ev. The way he'd make himself physically and emotionally available to her needs in the smallest of ways. The ways in which he heard her and understood her needs, accepted them, in cases, walked away from her as it was what she had told him it was what she needed or wanted.
This was a character of a man that was written as larger than life. A man who took up space and air in any room he walked into. A man whose peers saw as a force of nature. Yet the minute this quiet woman would need him in the simplest of ways he would understand, adjust, make himself bend for her. Neither changed for the other, they just accommodated the other's needs. It was the purest of listening and love languages.

Was it a perfect book or relationship? No of course not. Life is messy and strewn with mishaps, misunderstandings and hurts.
Were both characters both deeply hurt and destoryed by each other for seemingly punitive reasons? Of course they were. Not only are they both seniors in high school, but they were both grappling with some very serious issues. Ivan is the baby in a brood of children where he was raised by his siblings and his overlord is his father. He is ordered about as if he were a tool instead of a loved child. He knows his relationship with his papa is wrong, but like any child he can't just stop or cut that relationship off. At some point the unhealthiness of that relationship is going to cost everyone within that circle something deeply important.

The same holds true with Evelyn's parents. The utter lack of them in this story further highlights the lack of their interest and continues to raise the question of why they even have children. This story is more about Ev and Delilah becoming more of their own people and less of their two peas in a pod. Delilah found her other outside of the pod person in These Two Wrongs. Now it appears that it's Evelyn's turn to find her non pod pea in Jump On Three. Not only that, but both girls become closer to other girls in the suite as they strengthen relationships with their roommates and others at the academy. It was utterly lovely to see Evelyn be truly seen by her suitemates and to see the bonding of Ev and Bells. For as much as it bothered both Ev and Del, it finally gave them both that nudge that allowed them to understand that they WOULD be okay. They really will be.

These quiet moments of Ev's growth within the story perfectly matched her personality as did Ivan's large explosive ones within his storylines. This is yet another item and depth of talent that I have come to look for and deeply appreciate about this author. She matches the energy of her characters to their story lines. It is down so spectacularly that it is something that I only really grasp when I reach the end of her books and begin to think about how I want to write my review. It's just a true and gorgeous piece of talent. I don't think I point it out enough. I should.

Romance wise this book was also perfectly paced for these two individuals. Both entered into the relationship with different needs but where communication seemed to have failed and stuttered at times in regular conversations, when it came to intimacies of any sort these two were very open and vulnerable with each other the entire way through. It was if Ivan knew that Ev would need not only the understanding but the words as well. The more he spoke to her, the more she spoke to him and then intense conversations held in small amounts of words and spaces just built from there. This was a slow burn on the physical scale of books, but the emotional intimacy and bonding was a high heat as their bonding with each other was very swift and only caught fire the more time they spent in each other's presence.

This is a book that will have you laughing and crying in the same paragraph. All of the characters are so bleeding off of the page real. The emotions are so raw. It's impossible for anything in this story to hide as with Evelyn evasion and pretense doesn't exist in her world, so this story couldn't be written with those. Instead it is raw, honest, funny, weepy, hard, happy, frustrating, heart breaking, and beautiful. And that is all in one paragraph after another after another.

This is a book where people are seen. No matter who you are, what you are, where you are.
You are seen. You are loved.
That's what Ivan and Ev taught me.

I have to say this was one of the most BEST books I’ve read this year!

I just love the representation of it.

The respectful manner in which she wrote it. For someone who doesn’t know much about being on the spectrum or has autism. I feel this book helped me to understand the inter working of the mind on what on what ones beautiful mind works with those who are on the spectrum.

Evelyn is this beautiful young woman, just wanting to break out and literally JUMP, and be “normal” but in the end she started to discover how it wasn’t necessary because just being her beautiful self and having and accepting others who had her best interest at heart, the ones who mattered like her loving sister Delilah and of course Ivan…

    Ivan.

This Russian “bad boy “ was just everything. Everything in a sense that he was everything Evelyn needed. Patient. Observant. Protective. Understanding. He seen through the cracks of Evelyn that only her sister had seen… and what a privilege to able to see who this lovely gem was. And he appreciated everything she was willing to give him piece by piece.

My favorite characters in this whole book - and it’s going to be out of the norm. But it was FREDDIE! And of course Marco!

Freddie… I mean when he had to remind Ivan of how detrimental and harmful it was about handling Evelyn and the future and what that would look like for them was just the EPITOME of what a TRUE friend would do when they truly loved you! I felt Julia writing that was so RAW and I can imagine how uncomfortable it was for Ivan to listen to when it was the truth, but it made me emotional because he helped put everything in perspective. The ugly truth of the matter. But it helped!

Please read this book! You will not regret it. Read the whole series!

Julia, your writing is Superb. ❤️

    “Jump with me, Evelyn.”

I’ve been anticipating Evelyn’s and Ivan’s book and wow I wasn’t expecting to get as emotional as I did. Evelyn is on the autism spectrum and I feel like the representation was so well done.

Her routine, her fears and the way she reacts to certain things was so well explained and you honestly can’t help but fall for her. Ivan has always been curious about her since he became friends with her twin sister and the more that he learns about her, the harder he falls. Even if she pushes him away because her sister liked him first (she is now is a very happy relationship of her own).

“I love when you are happy. I will keep you that way.”

This story does feature bullying towards the FMC (not by the main characters) and it was done in such a realistic way. Ivan can’t help but feel protective of Evelyn and when things get tough, he is always there to hold her hand.

“ You are my favorite person.”

Throughout this story you see Evelyn start to evolve a little and try out things she normally wouldn’t with Ivan’s encouragement.

Ivan has his own struggles but they are mostly due to his father. Knowing that he was always meant to join the family business he has always kept his mouth shut and has done what he is told. But things change when his happiness with Evelyn is threatened.

I loved the natural progression of their relationship and how patient Ivan was with her. They have a couple hurdles they need to deal with but with their friends, they are able to get their well deserved happily ever after. Loving this series and can’t wait to see what comes next.

Ev was beautifully portrayed and this book sheds light on some of the struggles people on the spectrum face everyday.
And Ivan, he was simply awesome and everyone needs one in his/her life.
This book is funny, emotional, it had everything, so yes, it was perfect❤️
