Kiran: A Sci-Fi Alien Warrior Romance (Ka'atari Warriors Book 1) Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 1,256 ratings

Go to space, they said. It’ll be an adventure, they said. They had no idea.

Cora’s boring job as a lab tech on board the space station Shangris is interrupted when two ships fall out of hyperspace and put Earth smack in the middle of an intergalactic war. She’s not sure which side she should be on, but the built-like-a-brick-house blue warrior who rescues her from the crumbling station could be more evil than Hannibal Lecter and she might not care. Especially if he’s in to eating people. But not in the creepy way.

The Talia’s captain ordered Kiran and his team to search the damaged station for survivors, and kill any Scozid he might find. The squid-like humanoids were known for using more primitive races for barbaric experiments. The Talia was tailing this particular ship when they jumped blindly into an unknown sector of the galaxy. With Ka’atari mates being as rare as a three-headed givuthde, he never dreamed his would be one of the survivors.

Things get even more complicated when another hyperspace jump, an unruly alien pet, and politicians get involved.

Hunka hunka blue alien love, action packed, steamy sci-fi romance fun!

This novella is the first in the Ka'atari Warriors series and has a guaranteed happily ever after and no cliff hangers.

This book held my attention through the whole thing. Which, frankly, is getting more and more difficult. It’s gotten to the point where I don’t even force myself to finish a book. I have several in progress right now, but this book was different-my attention was held and I read this one straight through. This is my first exposure to this author but I will be reading more.

Mouse is beautiful and I’m going to hold you to your promise to give him a treat in exchange for a review. <vbg> And treats for the kitties too.

This was a really cute story. The characters are fun. I love Cora and the friend she makes in the hold! There was plenty of action in between the sex scenes. I love how the main couple are equals and how this is not your typical abduction story. I do think some of the alien species could use better descriptions but I would definitely recommend.

The world under Cora's feet keeps disappearing. First was the space station and then the space ship she was rescued to and finally a bridge landed on her. Not such good odds. But she got two good things from it. First thing was Koran and runs and second thing was a lifetime friend, For I'd. She is a sentient cross like an alien tiger but all black who strikes terror in most beings. Koran tells Cora that they are trying to find earth and if she wants to go back,, he only wants her happiness. But it will write his heart out of his chest to do so. You figure it out. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. And guess what? It's a series! Oh, by the way, this is for adult readers! You can guess why, can't you?

First time reading this author. I got this for free from Kindle. I am voluntarily reviewing this book. First in a series. This is a fun, fast paced, action packed book. They can't seem to get a break. 3.5 stars. I would recommend to paranormal romance readers

Loved the fast paced story! The description of the places were very visual and kept me interested to find out what would happen next.

Cora is a scientist on a space station above Earth, when two spaceships appear and start firing on each other, accidentally destroying the space station.
When one of the ships sends warriors to rescue the survivors, they are caught in the wake of the ships and transported somewhere else.
Cora finds herself drawn to one of the warriors, a Ka’atari called Kiran. They are drawn together by biological imperative, but as Kira finds her way in her new reality, will she decide to stay with Kiran?

A quick sci-fi romance, with exciting battles, travel among the stars, and a warrior race trying to keep everyone safe, plus a giant, man-eating, alien cat... (my personal favourite character 😜).
An enjoyable way to spend an afternoon. Recommended for sci-fi romance fans.

I absolutely loved this book! Carrie was a fierce female that stood her ground and would not be bullied. She fought against the alien mating that overtook her until she was ready to accept it and Kiran. That she was able to befriend an alien cat with weird mental powers mad her even more badazz. I loved the action and the characters, it was exciting to read.

An action packed story that will keep you entertained from start to finish with one disaster after another who thought life as a researcher on a space station would be boring

My only complaint is the shortness of this story. There is so much more that could happen specially with the huge predatory preuvret that became attached to Cora.

Well written story. Would enjoy a hint more of the history of the Ka'atari species as the series progresses. Will definitely purchase the next book when it is available. Really loving the sci fi romance genre.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good book

The first in a series is hard, as you need to develop background, main characters and set up characters for the next installments.
Overall, this is a nice, light read and I really enjoyed the heroine, though she seems more a warrior than the marine she's rescued with.
The other stories that are set up in this book sometimes vie attention from Cora and Kiran's story.
Also, Cora's lethal alien pet is one of the best characters.
I think subsequent installments may be better at balancing the main storyline and setting up additional ones.

Group of ladies working on a spaceship end up in the middle of an alien war and whipped away from earth.

Then starts the mating.

The storyline is good and the characters likeable.

My only issue is at times there are great descriptions others not so much.

Worth a read though
