The Mating Chance

When the call comes, it is the duty of the male mountain lion shifter to follow instinct to find his mate. It’s only supposed to ever happen once in a mountain lion shifter’s life. But fate can be cruel.

Cricket Adams knows all about the call. Finding her mate already in life and having already started a family with him, she would have never guessed fate would do this to her. Her mate is taken away from her, but fate isn’t done with her yet. Working not only as a single mom, but as the bookkeeper to her family’s logging company, she is in an instant state of denial when the call strikes her again.

Boone Claw has spent his life seeing his family members all succumb to the call, finding a happiness he didn’t truly believe in even seeing it play out before him. Living the bachelor life, working as a log faller alongside his brother, and dodging his crazy cousin, he was thrilled when the call finally strikes him. Instinct takes him west. Learning his mate’s family has a logging company isn’t the only surprise he comes across.

A second mating call is unheard of and so could Cricket’s response in trying to reject him. Can they overcome her reservations? The pain of a human known as Mr. Grace and come together before it’s too late?
