That’s all I could handle.
I had enough on my plate. Getting involved with a notorious playboy was not on my agenda. Which is why he was perfect. He didn’t do relationships and I didn’t have time for one.

    Micah was all about playing the field and Alexis didn't have time for a relationship. They were supposed to have just one night together, but then Micah begged for more. The author did an amazing job developing the relationship between Micah and Alexis. There was a lot of heart and heat. Micah and Alexis fit together perfectly and I loved every moment of their story. I had a lot of fun with how all of the friends and family in their little group were all up in everyone else's business. I highly recommend this book!

    Alexis is a very academically focused sweet girl that won’t allow herself a relationship. Micah has never been the guy to want a relationship and sticks to only sex. Sounds like a perfect match until Micah wants more….. sweet, sexy, some steamy scenes, some family drama but quick paced well written characters, a HEA with more to come from this group of amazing friends.

    This is the third book in this amazing series and is Micah and Alexis’s story. Micah is a bad boy who is king of the one-night stands, and Alexis is firm in her belief that she has no room for distractions, in order to keep her grades up and her scholarship of track. When they do have one night together, Micah is relentless in his pursuit, but will Alexis agree to more? This is a well written story which is heartfelt, sweet, and with friendships, secrets, emotions, love, and is an entertaining and addictive page turner. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

    Rachael Brownell is back with the next book in the Lake State University series and are you as pumped as I was?! Y'all, this has series been so, so good so far and they seem to just keep getting better and better but this one? My new favorite to date. Rachel was new to me prior to this series but she's totally got a new reader/follower in me.

    Risky Little Affair, the third standalone in this series, was everything I expected it to be y'all and gahhhh, my heart. This couple. *sigh* This beauty was packed with loads of heat, so much heart, and some explosive, undeniable chemistry. Micah and Alexis, ahhhh man these two and their journey. They hooked me hard and hooked me deep, pretty quickly in their story. They were so much of everything in so many moments and whoa. All those feels they gave me on every page had me racing through to the end and I really just couldn't read fast enough.

    A must read if you like sweet, steamy, swoony college romances like me.

    I highly recommend this book and this addicting series.

    Risky Little Affair by Rachael Brownell is the third book in the Lake State University series. This was one of my anticipated releases for 2022 and it did not disappoint. Risky Little Affair delivered a charming tale, which I eagerly devoured.

    This installment delivers Micah and Alexis story. I awaited Micah’s story with eager anticipation after his merciless teasing of his brothers, who had been bitten by the love bug. He swore up and down that such a fate would never reach him. However, he underestimated the powerful force of love. It was fun seeing the cocky womanizer taken down by the very thing he claimed would not befall him.

    Alexis is not looking for a permanent relationship. Her focus is on her studies and keeping her scholarship. Failure was not an option, as returning to an unhealthy home environment. She could not afford distractions of any form. However, Micah will become her biggest distraction when she discovered that one night of passion would not be enough.

    Risky Little Affair was such an endearing read. It lacked all the unnecessary angst that one may associate with college romances. It was a joy getting to Micah and Alexis. To be honest, I never expected the level of maturity displayed by Micah, given his reputation. But man, he proved me wrong.

    The driving force behind Alexis’ need to study is heartbreaking. She developed insecurities as a result, which is to be expected. She had a hard time accepting that Micah wanted to be with her. Her apprehensions arose because of the difference in their social status. An unwarranted fear as the difference in their social status did not matter to Micah. Her determination, resilience and dedication were the things that drew him to her. The princess of one-night stands had her well erected walls torn down by the prince of love them and leave them.

    Free of drama and angst, but with lots of steamy moments, Ricky Little Affair hooked me from the start. A sweet story with endearing characters whom I couldn’t get enough of. Alexis and Micah brought out the best in each other, making them a wonderful couple.

    Overall, a delightful read. Risky Little Affair is a story about overcoming one’s past and finding love when it's least expected. Perfect for fans of new adult romance

    Risky Little Affair is the third book in the Lake State University. Books are interconnected and best enjoyed read in order. With each book you fall just a little bit more in love with this group of friends. And, Rachael with her Easter eggs thrown in making us wonder and want the next books. Micah with his dirty mouth, Alexis with her terms set, are about to be The. Best. Distraction. Ever. Although, they had met several times it isn’t until Alexis sheds her armor of clothing that Micah sees her. And, once he does, all bets are off. Oh, how the mighty fall.

    Micah, youngest Graham brother, manwhore, living his best college bachelor life.

    Alexis, smart, determined, at LSU on scholarship, and hiding behind her baggy clothes.

    Both Micah and Alexis have their life plans, but a camping trip that includes them sharing a tent will change everything.

    Just one night….has them both hooked on each other.

    Micah is an all consuming distraction. He would agree to any terms just for a chance. So, Alexis makes a list of all the things she wants out of this arrangement, mutually beneficial, no worries.
