Radley's Labyrinth for Horny Monsters Kindle Edition

4.8 out of 5 stars 593 ratings

Welcome back to the Radley House!

"I recommend this novel and this series for action, sex, and thought." -Piers Anthony, author of the Xanth series

When Mike Radley offered to battle a minotaur to retrieve a pair of magical goggles for his goblin wife, he thought he knew what to expect.

He didn't expect to meet a lonely centaur hiding in his greenhouse.

He really didn't expect an encounter with a powerful naga in the labyrinth under his home.

And he definitely didn't expect a secret society of witches to camp out in his front yard, hellbent on revenge for killing one of their own and stealing their leader's succubus.

Welcome to Radley's Labyrinth. Expect the Unexpected.

This is innocent but dirty fun. A LOT of fun.

Annabelle is a great writer, and she is very prolific. Her stories are fun and sweet, although maybe with a bit too much of "Perils of Pauline" drama. However, she is being kind of a 19th century writer posting episodes that lead you on to the next episode. We all know Snidely Whiplash won't win in the end, but it is fun reading it. She is having her characters much more real and she is much better at writing the scenes and much less sarcastic than in the Rocky and Bullwinkle episodes with Nell being tied to the railroad tracks, although she isn't quite as funny as Jay Ward (who could be?). The friendships and sex in her novels are sweet and consensual for the most part (a witch does get taken by a carnivorous plant - she deserves it). The female monsters (and humans) are a force to protect the house against invaders and attackers with their varied abilities as a home for all. Enjoy the novels as an extreme model of alternative loving families.

Some reviewers seem to have had problems with the orientation of characters. I don't. All of the Monsters are female with a couple of exceptions ("Death" who seems asexual and has a taste for tea and maps and is learning to read when his sickle is not otherwise occupied) and the male equivalent of a banshee. (Sorry Annabelle if I am giving too much away). And for people who are turned off by male gay sex, there isn't any although a succubus demon is female but with a very prehensile tail and qualifies as bi) and there is plenty of girl-on-girl between monsters and monsters and the two female humans. There is a lot of associated artwork and audio that you can find through her Patreon site.

This is the second of eight part of the story - already longer than War and Peace and likely to overpass the seven volumes of Proust's Remembrances of Things Past. There is also a "sideline" novel in the works (sideline because it departs but converges back in) and a "spin-in" novel (starts separately, but becomes part of the main story.

Enjoying the story but the Beth side of the story is really frustrating to read through. It seems like the author is building her to have emotional feelings for Mike but everything in here is just about how she wants a big **** with no attachment.

You start caring about that characters feelings and then she unapologetically is screwing an evil demon. I literally have to skip passed her chapters which is frustrating.

After a very long wait, book two has finally been released! I originally picked up the first book several years back while waiting on another author, and was immediately sucked in to this world much like our own, but with hidden magic and lost mysteries. The squeal continues one week after Mike has moved in to this house full of monsters, working on recovering from a nasty witch attack. What starts as a simple request to get his goblin wife's goggles explodes into a full-scale assault by the historical society with attacks coming from all directions. It's and exciting ride chocked-full of action, characters, and of course lots of hot sex scenes surpassing most other erotic novels. Yet it's the story of a man in a strange land, an ordinary yet kind person, having to use his wit and ability to inspire others to protect the first place he has ever truly called home, and making sure everyone there can as well. I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys this kind of tale and to anyone who hasn't to give it a try.

Annabelle Hawthorne really is one of the best erotic authors out there, a great author in general, she writes well and creates a great story and has written some really well thought out intimate scenes between Mike and the monsters. I’d highly recommend this if you enjoyed the first book.

In the first book, Annabelle Hawthorne introduces Mike who inherits a house from his aunt. He discovers it is inhabited and guarded by monster girls. Some are magical, others are not. As he discovers the extent of the house, he also meets the people who want its power.
In this second installment, Hawthorne introduces new sexy monster characters, the house that grows and hides plenty of secrets. And Mike's opponents are back with a vengeance. Great read!

I stayed up late to finish this book because the drama had me hooked. The spicy scenes are good, don't get me wrong, but I NEEDED to know what happened. This book is darker than the first but that just made everything gleam brighter. The Succubus definitely presents some uncomfortable situations but I feel like it is actually easier to deal with than the non-consensual scene in the first book since there is more that can be done about it. And the Succubus proves to be a compelling character in her own right. Even the villains are fascinating in this series.

A story filled with twists and turns, slowly unlocking an Interesting mystery with beautifully written erotic scenes would be normally enough. However Annabelle has managed to cram multiple lovable characters (everyone loves Tink, you simple have to) that pulls at the heartstrings. Definitely a book I will return to one day to reread and enjoy again.
