    I loved the character development in the second half of this Secret Society duet. I also really enjoyed how the heroine, Harlow, was treated as an equal and rose into her own power and not just treated with kid gloves like some damsel in distress.

    Book one (The Lords of Darkness) was pretty much a slow burn with a concentration on world building and introducing us to this somewhat secret society, where book 2 was much more about enjoying the spicy side of their lives and letting them mate like rabbits, all while Harlow claimed her title.

    I loved every second of watching Harlow come into her power.

    This particular book was action packed, but Amanda Richardson is the rare author who can pack a lot of punch into one book and not make it feel fake or rushed. I've read other books with fight scenes that were like "She knew she was in trouble. She punched him and that was that, she could walk away" and you're just like "THAT'S the big fight scene?" The two big plot points that allowed Harlow to rise in her own power were well written and well thought out, not rushed at all.

    Holy mother of Batman this book was spicy! Loaded with smut and action it was the perfect combo! Harlow spends the beginning of this book making up for he attempt. I did LOVED when she made an amazing point about trust during their hiking expedition.

    Alaric, Gideon, Sterling and Theo learned quickly that they we done with the grudge. When Harlows life was threatened, the lords quite literally proved their love and loyalty despite they anger. I loved how it showed depth in their feelings for Harlow.

    Harlow is finally able to be an actually part of the order and watching her grow even more badass was beautiful. Plus she definitely had some growth in the intimacy department. Gone are her days of being scared and shy. She proved it when faced with being r@ped again. Like I said, badass.

    Overall I would definitely recommend this completely led duet. While I enjoyed this book overall, there are still aspects that I feel we could have ventured into that were left open

    I just finished this book & all I can say is "WHOA"! I didn’t want the story to end ! Fellow readers, know that when you get to the spicy scenes, be warned that they are EXTRA ! Alaric, Theo, Sterling, Gideon & their Lady of Darkness AKA as Harlow & little monster, I’m so glad that they finally got what they wanted in their heart of hearts. No one deserved it more than they did. This was a great ending to an amazing series, although I’d love to see a follow up book(s) detailing the updated life of the characters. I’d say a lot more but I’d just be giving away the story! Someone plz que "One" by U2!

    I started this series after reading the Ravage Castle Series. The books were so well written and the spice was scorching. Maybe this series was written first because the warning stated it was dark but I didn’t feel like it was dark romance. Sure there was killing in it but nothing really dark about it.

    All in all it’s a good series not the best but it was entertaining. 3 stars because it kept my attention.
