Who are the people of Fire’s Blood?
This is a simple story in the epic fantasy adventure series, The Fabled Quest Chronicles. A quest from the Lands of Man through the Magical Lands of fae and mythical creatures to the ultimate destination—the legendary kingdom of Atlantea!
After a long journey, the stranger, a human known as Traveler, has successfully led another caravan—this time of elves and dwarves—across distant regions to the outlands outside Atlantea. All he and his trusty wolf-dog desire now is rest and relaxation before beginning again. But they shall have neither.
Someone awaits them in the fae villages within. And others hunt them all.
Before the quest along Titan’s Trail, through unimaginable dangers, both mortal and magical, of men and monsters, for the magical adventure and the reward of ultimate treasure…
There is this brief journey through Fire and Ice.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 16, 2023This book goes well with the series it shows Traveler assisting rather than leading It makes you wonder what else is hidden in this world, You must read for yourself and draw your own conclusions .
- Reviewed in the United States on July 3, 2023I was introduced to Austin Dragon from a story in Jessie Kwak’s super collection Crooked, V.2 back in 2022. This is the first stand-alone piece of Dragon’s that I’ve read. I liked it – it was a light and not overly challenging read. Dragon tells a good story. It wasn’t hard to figure out the outlines of the universe Dragon’s built here, even though I had no previous experience with it. The Traveler, a sort of itinerant caravan-master, was sketched out nicely and was relatable.
I’m not a giant fantasy reader, but there was enough here that I could relate to that I wanted to keep reading. Well-done entertainment, which is what I’m generally looking for.
I thought this was above-average for its genre, and I look forward to reading more from Dragon.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 19, 2023Traveler and his dog were asked to lead a mission of the highest importance. Will they accept and hopefully prevail?
- Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2023As usual Austin Dragon splns a great tail that always full of surprises and unexpected turns of events that keeps you returning for more!
- Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2023This novella is part of the fabled Quest Chronicles, and helps build out the world of the series prior to Of Titan’s Trail. Austin crafts a tight story, introduces a host of characters (and species).
Good starter for those new to his work, and specifically his fantasy.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 28, 2023I liked the direction of plot, and I liked Traveler and his dog. Very interesting characters. There are many races described and many creatures described also.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2023A traveling caravan leader in a fantasy world, is tasked with a slightly different job in this great short story. With sword play, monsters, elves and elementals you will surely enjoy this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Teaser
With this series, there is plenty of wonder, and this gives a good idea of exactly what adventures you might find in the main series as well as what Traveller is capable of doing.

4.0 out of 5 stars Epic.
As with everything written by this author once you start reading it's difficult to stop this short sequel is no exception. Seamlessly leading the reader into the full series of Titans Trail although it's not necessary to read this one first it does give an insight into the full series. Immensely enjoyable well worth a read, Baz.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's SO Good To Be Back!
I didn't realise just how much I missed the character of Traveler and the stories of his life. It's been a looooong time since I read the final Fabled Quest Chronicles book and, boy, after only a few words on the first page of this novella I was surrounded by the lore, beasts, fae, and once again in the exalted company of the human, Traveler.
Whether you've read the Fabled Quest series or not, grab a hold of this. There's nothing unlikable here and you'll want more. As usual from this author, it's well-written, the characterisations are excellent, and the world building is astounding. This may be small, but it's perfectly formed.
And so, our tale begins prior to Traveler's Fabled Quest...
