Overview

How far would you go to catch your mother's killer?

Amy Harrison knows something terrible happened to her parents; she just doesn't know what because she can't remember the first twelve years of her life. Determined to uncover the truth, Amy begins an experimental treatment to recover her lost memories, and all she can see is blood.

Blood. Whiskey. Pink. A voice. Someone who loved her. Someone she loved. A killer. And death. So much death. Convinced her chaotic flashes of memory are real, Amy keeps pushing forward despite what it's doing to her. But the further she goes, the more her memories take over her, pushing sweet Amy away and replacing her with someone else...

Will Amy be able to recover her past, learn the terrible secret that made her forget it all, and save her own life before she loses everything? Or is history doomed to repeat itself?

About the Author

I love stories. Always have. I grew up reading fairy tales and anything else I could get my hands on. Characters are important to me. When I'm reading a book, I have to like the character, be invested in them, care what happens to them. Otherwise I'm just not interested. It doesn't matter to me if I'm following a villain or a hero or an anti-hero or just somebody or nobody. As long as I like them as a character, as a person, I'm hooked. I have to know what happens to them next. Have to know how their story ends.

My goal has always been to capture that same thing with my own characters. There are events going on around them or happening to them, but ultimately the most important thing is the character, their personality, their likes and dislikes, their ability to keep moving forward and to take the readers with them.
Psychological thrillers are wonderful to write because there's so much possibility for character growth. If you find out your wife is a serial killer, that's going to affect you. But how? If you find out someone is hunting you down to kill you because of something your great-great-great grandfather did a hundred plus years ago, that's going to change how you view life. If it doesn't, you're not a very interesting character.
