Leave Me Broken (Broken Series Book 2) Kindle Edition
He did it. He earned my trust like no one has before, then lost it. I thought I was broken before Ash—it was nothing like this.
He didn’t mean to, I think.
Maybe I’m just a casualty of destruction.
Maybe I should have seen it coming—expected it.
Everyone disappoints you in the end, right?
Ash
Payson is breaking and I can’t help but feel it’s my fault. I hold her jagged pieces in my hands. Urging them to hold—to heal; but they keep crumbling, slipping through my fingers. Leaving only remnants of the girl I love.
She’s lost.
And now I’m lost too.
Leave Me Broken is the second book in the Broken series and must be read in order starting with Break For You to fully understand. This is a continuation story between a high school volleyball coach and his player. Heavy triggers are mentioned throughout this series. 18+

About the author

I know these are meant to be in third person, but I loathe third person. So, I live in the USA. Specifically the mid-west so that means I love ranch and say “ope” when I bump into someone. I’m married to the love of my life and together we have created a life I only ever dreamed of having. Books are a huge part of my identity and one day I decided I wanna do that (meaning write a book) and, well… here we are. Romance is my favorite genre and I don’t ever see myself veering from that. We all deserve a happy ending, even if it’s only fictional. Peace!

- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2023I usually know what I want to write about a book I've just finished. This one had me thinking long and hard.
...I mean, it delivered it's threath and left me broken because I don't know what to say!!!
I highlighted so many quotes but they don't fit with the way I'm feeling right now so I think they would be inappropriate.
Ash's and Payson's story continues in this second book and it's so much more dramatic than the first one. The first book focused on the fun and easy part of their secret relationship, the second book describes what happens when shit hits the fan. Every page from the beginning has been a downfall to the point where it seems it can't get any worse than this. But it got worse, way worse and now both of them have dug themselves a hole that seems impossible to get out of. I am positive, though that they will find their light together and everything will be alright.
Every emotion Payson felt, I felt. I knew she was the one on the destructive path, yet it felt like I was there with her, going through everything she did to the point where everything was too much. I didn't cry, but only because I knew there's a third book coming and the author wouldn't have left things like that but I did have a strong urge to throw my damn phone against a wall and choke someone.
This whole series is a freaking emotional rollercoaster, and although it's not nice to swear and cuss and scream from fury in front of your family because you can't handle your emotions, it's still always appreciated that the author is able to bring that out with just words on a paper, you know?

- Reviewed in the United States on August 15, 2023Light spoilers ahead. Ok. I almost dropped this to 2 stars. The scene with Luca was soooooo far off of making any sense to this storyline that I almost stopped reading. I don't know why author thought she needed it. This was a 5 star story otherwise. The story is so immersing, that I stayed anyways but I really haye when I'm supposed to believe that I have a great alpha-hole who shares. That's the worst. Now, if I don't get an HEA in this book, I'll give up the author. I hate when we dont get an HEA. This is setting up to be a either I'm independent amd I just need me woman book or a second chance and I also really hate om/ow. 2nd chance books aren't for me. Regardless, this author's talent is absolutely top notch. I'm so sucked into this story, that I took off work yesterday to read these two books. I'm glad I did. I also took the rare chance of reading a series that isn't yet complete. Talk about a book hangover. If her mom's bf gets to her, I'm going to want to throw my kindle away. I just hope book 3 doesn't destroy this for me. This author is in my top 5 favorite authors at this point. I'm hooked! 1 to 5, 5 being the best:
Steam=5
Feel like characters actually love eachother =5
Taboo=3.5
Can't put it down=5
The cliffhanger =5
The side characters =4 (however, Luca's actions with J and our h are a 1 for me)
Alpha hole =4 (in some parts, I'd say a 2 and others a 5)
Darkness =3
- Reviewed in the United States on February 23, 2023I have never found myself so angry and disgusted when reading a book… I wanted to DNF several times. The betrayal… I thought I could handle Ash’s first lie but the second? I was so sick to my stomach the more I saw that he preyed on her innocence and just lie after lie… but my god, THE LOVE. You can feel the love and I really liked that we got to see Ash’s POV a lot this book because the feelings didn’t seem to one sided. There are so many scenes that made me uncomfortable in this book and the cutting continues and only gets worse. I feel so deeply for Payson. The steam.. holy cow… not sure it is worth all of the secrets, lies and insecurities but it is hot.
Read at your own rick. Check triggers.
I gave the book 5 stars because I couldn’t put it down and the love story is TRUE, although majorly f’d up.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2023I liked the first book but I feel like this book was a bit much for me ! I don’t mind the age gap and it’s a roller coaster ride for sure. I also enjoy dark romances but SPOILER ALERT** I did not like that he started cutting her so she wouldn’t do it herself. It turned me off the book completely.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2023Read the trigger warnings! But was a great read! Ready for August for the 3rd book! I got wrapped up and invested quickly
- Reviewed in the United States on February 26, 2023I really enjoyed continuing to read about Payson and Ash's story. First off. I want to give it a 4.5. Deducting a little because like the first, I feel like it could of been a little shorter and more to the point. However, this was very good! Very emotional and tragic in ways. Lots of taboo, dark, and trigger worthy content. I knew their story would go down this path. They love each other but they are also very toxic. Pay needs help, and she's bringing Ash down and making him toxic and broken. Can't wait for book 3!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 17, 2023I'm struggling on what to say. I am so mad at Ash after the first book. It's just so hard to understand him. I get why Payson still loves him, but it's heartbreaking. She has endured so many losses. I also understand the gut wrenching cliff hanger.
I am so invested in their love story now.
I hope the last book will give them the HEA they both deserve.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 30, 2023Oh, the drama and heartache. This book really did it for me. The build up of emotions, drama was top notch. If anything it was a bit too much for me, but all in all, it was perfect. The ending really left me broken, and with a craving for the last book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Hooked
I wasn’t sure whether to carry this series on, but wow, I’m glad I did! The drama, the secrets, did I mention drama? There is just so much going on and I’m here for all of it.

2.0 out of 5 stars Sport Romance
I have DNF this one, there is some grammatical and typos in the book as with book 1. I usually enjoy this trope and these types of characters are not for me. I also can't get passed some characters default positions of dreamy teenager and I need to get her pregnant I skipped ahead like book one to see if it go better and see there is a book 3. It's not for me this one.
