Love, Luck & Clusterf*ck: A Slow Burn Friends to Lovers Romantic Comedy (Legal) Kindle Edition

4.3 out of 5 stars 688 ratings

Would you give up your best friend for one night of passion?

From the author of the Legal series comes a hot and hilarious new STANDALONE.

I met him on the luckiest day of the year.

Of course, I wasn’t aware of his true identity at the time. I only knew him as the arrogant blond god who gave me a shamrock necklace.
For luck.

As if I needed it.

Okay, maybe I did. But it was presumptuous of him to assume I wanted his help – all because he made it his business to pry into my personal conversation.

I, Perry Sommers, want a life makeover.

I want to stop being so impulsive and start acting like a grown up.

I want to settle down and have a real relationship, instead of a series of clusterf*cks.

I want to fall in love. Just not with
this man.

But love isn’t fair. It doesn’t care if someone is off-limits, and Stephen Davidson definitely is. I can handle that. Our intense chemistry tests me on a near constant basis. I can handle that too.

What I can’t handle is how much I’ve come to need him in my life. I never expected this infuriating hard-ass to become my best friend, but now that he has, I never want to let him go.

I can’t destroy the bond we share, but there is only so much a woman can take before she breaks.

Before she throws it all away for one perfect night.

** This best friends to lovers
standalone romantic comedy takes place six years before Legal. It does not need to be read in conjunction with the others in the series. **

The Legal series:

Legal (An older woman/younger man romantic comedy)

Lyrical (The hot and hilarious Legal sequel)

Love, Luck & Clusterf*ck (A slow burn friends to lovers standalone romcom)

"I LOVED these characters. How refreshing to read a story that is not only fun but also funny.
Laugh out loud funny. My husband asked me several times while I was reading this book what are you laughing about." -Jaizer

"Bree has a unique writing style...one that creates real situations with real people, sprinkled with humor and sexy scenes." -Love to Review
"Ms. Dahlia description of places and people make you feel like you are right there enjoying it.
This is a great read for anyone who loves friends to lovers books." - Terri O'Connell

"
Not your average romance." - Jess

"This was the first book I read by Bree Dahlia and I LOVED it! You can definitely read it as a stand alone but I am now addicted and I want to read ALL of the books in this series. I would recommend this book to anyone looking for
a fun read that will have you addicted from the first chapter!" - Book Worm 1013

"
The storyline is unique and very engaging! The characters have amazing chemistry! The novel also has good flow and great character development. With all the drama, suspense, and romance present in this book, you will continue to flip through to find out how it all ends! Wonderful!" - Maryam L

"
Witty banter & tons of sexual tension in this engaging friends-to-lovers romance. Ms. Dahlia's Legal series continues with this prequel that presents readers with the story behind super couple Perry and Stephen. It's a romance full of charm and lots of sexual tension that stands nicely on its own but is an immensely satisfying addition to the series that endears these characters to us all the more." - J. Faltys

"This story is full of betrayal, secrets, friendship, and love. It's about finding ones place and belonging. Changing and growing, and being yourself. Their worldwind romance begins on St. Patrick day and blossoms into the most beautiful love story.
I absolutely loved it and would give this story more than five stars. I LOVED IT!!" - Narcie Carrion

Bree Dahlia is an unconventional romance junkie. Her stories range from lighthearted to sizzling with that satisfying happily-ever-after ending and a touch of the unexpected. She favors themes of friendship, forgiveness, and unconditional love with alpha characters and eccentric tastes.

She holds degrees that look pretty in a frame and has sampled a long string of jobs that have left a lot to be desired. Only as an author has she found her passion. When not crafting stories in her small Wisconsin town, she hikes unbeaten trails, watches hockey games, and wishes she didn't detest cooking so much.

Dahlia is her middle name. Her last name is more suitable for a horror writer.

I voluntarily received an Advanced Readers Copy of this book from Hidden Gems.
Perry and Stephen and Dre and Crista and Adam and Kate and ..... Perry had a lot of friends and each one had their own story. Crista was Perry's roommate and best friend. Dre was her on again off again boyfriend. Adam and Kate were friends from work. Stephen she ran into at a bar "Lucky's". After that she kept running into him here and there. Then she found out he was a big shot where she worked. When Dre asked Perry to become exclusive, she said yes but her heart was not in it. She just did not know it yet, but she was more attracted to Stephen and was getting to know him and started to like him way too much. The rest of the story tells of Beach of the relationships and how they affected her and Stephen. A very good read.

Nothing too exciting here. I got through it only because the female main character was kinda funny... I probably don't search for more from this author.

Penny is given a necklace on st Patrick's day by a strange guy and is told that legend holds that whoever gives a token that night will be true. She thinks nothing of it but takes it home and keeps it. Then her world is torn apart and Stephen is there to pick up the pieces. This was a great friends to lover story with some of our favorite Legal characters although this book can be read completely alone. Ms. Dahlia description of places and people make you feel like you are right there enjoying it. This is a great read for anyone who loves friends to lovers books.

All the characters were realistic, well developed and distinguishable. Very good plot, not your usual story. I didn't like the epilogue. Felt it was not needed; it seemed odd and out of character. Part of it could have been worked into the last chapter and separated like the other sections. I enjoyed the book.

    This story was dull.
They meet in passing in a bar. Monday he's her manager. They become friends who want more but won't go there. Over 80% of the way in the book they get together then it goes wrong.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrible Characters
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 10, 2018
Had to stop reading this book as not one of the main characters came over as being anything but horrible. Perry I'm guessing is supposed to be free spirited and willing to speak her mind. However she comes over as sarcastic, fouled mouthed and hard to please. Her room mate just comes over as put simply a slut. Stephen, the 'love interest' is obsessive, controlling and harassess Perry. And Dre, Perry's boy friend at the start of the book is a sniviling little liar.

The story could have been the romance equivalent of Shakespeare or Dickens but the horrible characters simply overwhelmed any possible enjoyment of the story.
