Undeniable: A steamy fake dating romance (Love Song Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.4 out of 5 stars 71 ratings

One week in one bed with the one who got away. Pretending to be in love never felt so real.

Noah Van Aller never dates the same woman twice, but unless he convinces his future boss that his playboy days are over, he’ll lose his dream job. Pretending to date his little sister’s best friend could be the perfect solution, if she wasn’t the only woman who’d ever made him question his own rules.

Callie Cole may live with a chronic illness, but she doesn’t need anyone to take care of her, especially not her best friend’s overbearing older brother. Too bad her mother doesn't agree. Convincing their families that she and Noah are a couple can't be that hard—especially since she has been in love with him since she was twelve years old.

Sharing a hotel room for a week wasn’t in the plan, and the more time they spend together, the more it feels like they're only lying to themselves.

But Noah’s dream job means leaving everything else behind—even Callie. Now they have to choose between the futures they always dreamed of and the love they never dared to imagine.

Undeniable is a standalone, spicy, fake dating romance with only one bed and a guaranteed HEA

Cara Dion writes steamy, contemporary romance, often with a forbidden or age gap relationship. Her debut series, Love Song, was released in 2023.

Voted “most likely to write the great American novel” by her middle school classmates, she has been writing for as long as she can remember. Cara has a master’s degree in English Literature and serves as an author mentor for All Write Well. She has been a high school English teacher, professional musician, and nonprofit administrator.

Cara has always had an overactive imagination and spent much of her teenage years watching 80s and 90s romcoms with her aunt. She read her first romance when a friend snuck one of their mother's Harlequins into their Catholic high school and passed it around like contraband, but Cara didn't return to romancelandia until the pandemic. When she’s not reading or writing romance, she loves cooking, Broadway musicals, and all things Disney.

Cara lives in a small town in New England with her husband, son, and two very demanding cats.

Love how the music was weaved throughout this book!!
🌶🌶🌶🌶 Fake Dating One Bed Age Gap Best Friends Brother Chronic Illness Music Oh my goodness, this book. I knew Noah was going to have a good story to tell, and I fell for Callie in Liv & Daemon's story. Callie and Noah's music really tells their story. From love, pain, despair, and hope. One of my favorite things about this story was the way they worked together to make music, and when Callie thought she couldn't make music anymore, Noah was there to help her. When Callie can't physically continue, Noah was there to pick her up, literally & figuratively. There are so many emotions that weave through this story that it sucks you in. I couldn't put it down. I can not wait for more!

In Undeniable Cara Dion proves she has the potential to be the next big thing in contemporary romance. This title is more “romcom” than her first release, Indiscreet, but packs the same emotional heft and undeniable sex appeal.

The air between Noah and Callie sparks with sexual tension, although their years of friendship (Callie is Noah’s sister’s best friend) makes the connection real; they can’t hide anything from each other, but they do their best to pretend they can. I loved seeing appearances from other couples in her series, demonstrating Dion’s incredible ability to build unique, likable characters. I can’t wait to see some of the other newcomers appear in future books!

If you’re looking for friends-to-lovers, fake dating, and all the angst, don’t sleep on this one. In fact, just do yourself a favor and download everything Dion has written, and you can thank me later.

Noah is in line to get his dream promotion, but his boss wants his playboy days to be long gone before he gives it to him. When his little sister's best friend, Callie, comes into town, he finds that she may be willing to make a deal that can benefit both of them.

I'll admit I wasn't sold immediately on this book when I started reading. It took me a couple chapters to get into, and I was worried that the whole fake relationship trope was going to be a stereotypical one. I was pleasantly surprised to see I was wrong and that the author put a few twists on it that made it unique. I loved Noah and Callie's relationship, despite how it may have started.

This is an excellent continuation of the Love Song series, and all the tropes were perfection (forced proximity, one bed at the inn, fake relationship). Just like the first book the characters feel so real and the relationships between the main characters but also their friends, siblings, parents, etc all feel so real and deep. I loved that I got to keep seeing the happiness from Liam and Min, and Liv and Damien. I wish I could have actually attended this wedding, I love these characters so much! I absolutely can't wait for the next one in this series!

“𝐈 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐟 𝐈 𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐞 𝐭𝐨."

TBH I had no idea what to expect with this one but the tropes were calling my name and I was very pleasantly surprised. The story is in 3rd person so if that's a deal breaker for you 😬😬 but honestly it was done REALLY well and I barely noticed after the initial brain cramp I got trying to remember how to read 3rd person with my 👀 lol

Ok onto the good stuff... Noah is a film composer and professor. He's also Callie's best friend's older brother and the object of her long time crush. Callie studied to be a composer too but gave it up when she developed Fibromyalgia and could no longer play her pieces. They had a "thing" a few years ago but it never got off the ground. They have now reconnected on the way to a family wedding, and devised a mutually beneficial plan to fake a relationship.

“𝐈 𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞 𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭’𝐬 𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐞, 𝐥𝐨𝐯𝐞.”

I loved these two together! Noah was SWOONY AF. He's a born protector and takes care of Callie any way she let's him. Top notch book boyfriend... like he shaves her legs for her people 😱 Callie is independent to a fault, and determined to not let her illness drag her down. I love her unique interes like historical romance and tarot card reading. Their chemistry is 🔥 and Cara broughttt it with the spice. Callie has a vast toy collection and not only is Noah not afraid to use the assist. He even buys her a new one.... to use in public ☠️☠️

“𝐘𝐨𝐮’𝐫𝐞 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐦𝐞 𝐲𝐞𝐭, 𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐞𝐭 𝐠𝐢𝐫𝐥. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐭𝐥𝐞 𝐭𝐨𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐥𝐲 𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐝 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 🐱 a𝐭 𝐚𝐥𝐥.”

First time reading this author. Came across this book in a Facebook group and decided to try. Wasn’t too thrilled it read as a third person but thes story was so good, that, after the first chapter, it didn’t even matter. I fell in love with these two characters, and their story was amazing.

I loved this book! I could not put it down and read it in one sitting. The author had me from the first page to the last and I want more. I feel like I know Noah and Callie and will miss there love story. I am a huge fan of Cara Dion’s, can’t wait for book three.

When you have an invisible chronic illness like Callie it’s easy to believe that you’re a burden and unlovable. That’s a real struggle and it gave this otherwise lighthearted and sexy story heft. Well done second installment to a beautiful series. Lots of fun spice too!

Cara Dion is an absolute gem of romance!

What starts out as an innocent road trip becomes the makings of a plot between Noah and his sister's best friend, Callie. In order to get a film producer to take Noah seriously and Callie's mom to get off her back—they will pretend they're dating. Sounds simple, right?

Nothing is simple, however, when the undeniable chemistry between the two begins to reach a boiling point. It suddenly has both of them asking—could there be more to this than a simple charade?

Dion's characters really do leap off the page. I felt so engrossed in the story, mostly because the characters were so real and relatable. I especially appreciated the honesty and care with which Callie's chronic illness was handled. As someone who deals with chronic illness, it matters to me that it's portrayed well in romance novels.

I love everything about this book! Noah and Callie are both beautifully complex characters and I was rooting for them from page one.

Callie has fibromyalgia and Cara wrote her chronic illness absolutely perfectly. I rarely see such an accurate portrayal of living with chronic pain, but this was spot on.

Also, the spice? Top tier. Top top tier.

    Completely obsessed.

(I was lucky enough to beta read this for Cara, but my opinions/obsession are 100% honest.)
