    I love it when I come across a new Author who writes an amazing story and I read it in a day because I can't put it down!
    Nikki did an amazing job with so much happening across the whole story and I was pulled in from the get go. The story line shifts between past and present but it so easy to follow as its so well written.
    The main character Chloe has such a fun, sexy personality with a good sense of humour. She is strong in the sense that she doesn't take shit from anyone and stands up for herself while still having such a big caring heart.
    The tension between her and Luca is off the charts and the sex is HOT!!!
    You see them deal with their own demons and past hurt to come together because these two are definitely meant to be.
    I can't wait to read more of Nikki's books.
    And hopefully some of the secondary characters get a chance to tell their stories too???

    This was a great, action packed, passionate story. I truly enjoyed Luca and Chloe's banter with each other. They were two fiery personalities that simply combust when they get together. While I know this novel is written by an author who uses European spelling and grammar, punctuation was definitely an issue, which is a major thing for me, personally.
    Overall, the story and characters were well written.

No. This romance is in the midst of the ugly of the evil in the world. The real evil. Two people managed to survive hardships from childhood to adults. They found a way to find their way back to each other. They tried to push their true feelings away but the connection from day one is too strong. Luca and Chloe are probably currently my two favorite characters from a book. And talk about a steamy read! It's not just scenes (those are hot let me tell you), but it's also an amazing story of survival, strength, and just how far a person will go to save the one they love. And there is another story coming this year with an appearance from these character. I can't wait. This author definitely has a new fan! If you a fan of romance with a dark element, this is the story for you!

    I loved this story line. It was nothing short of drama packed, intense, and full of frustration. There was so much tension throughout this whole book because even when Chloe and Luca were giving into their desires, they really weren’t. However, I really loved how strong Chloe was throughout this story line. In my opinion, between Chloe’s strength and Luca’s dirty mouth, it made the story.

    Luca. This man was cold and fought his feelings until the bitter end. However, he had a filthy mouth and showed he would do nothing less of burning down the world for Chloe. I wished he would have groveled a little more to get Chloe back, but I must say he did turn a new leaf.

    Chloe. This girl was bad to the bone. She was a born to be leader and was so strong. She fought to get herself out of anything and showed that she didn’t need a man; however, she loved to have Luca by her side. I loved how she saved him when he needed saving and proved even more why we loved her.

    So the thing is, the book is good, well written and compelling plot. However the characters' development was nonexistent. There was not an evolution in their relationship or with themselves. They drove me crazy, his hot and cold game was f king and loving her one second, insulting her and going for another woman the next, again, again and again. I ended up wishing she would left him I swear. And her? Oh god, how can someone so badass lack so much backbone and be such so childish, not to talk about how whenever the MMC showed his banana she lost her mind and forgot all the pain he had caused. It had potential but it felt flat, the more you read the more annoyed you get.
