I'm sweet and sassy just like the women in my books. I've aspired to be a writer my entire life. My first love was journalism, which taught me the fundamentals of writing. But then fell in love with writing short, steamy, borderline chili pepper hot romance.

My books are short but full of all the feels. I like real characters with real flaws, pain and problems. But everyone deserves their own happily ever after, so you'll never be disappointed by cliffhangers or couples who cheat.

    This was such a wonderful story! Ian and Gina meet at a grocery store. Gina is dressed up because she was stood up for an early Valentine’s Day date. Ian is buying lottery tickets.
    Ian spots Gina at the store and kind of stalks her so he can talk to her. Their attraction is instantaneous! They decide to split the last pint of mint chocolate chip ice cream and the lottery ticket.
    Both are attracted to the other but Ian really wasn’t looking for forever even though he feels that he’s found it with Gina. Gina has been hurt before and is hesitant to trust someone new even though she innately feels that Ian is trustworthy.
    Piper Cook is Fab-U-Lous at writing these stories and this book is definitely worth the time to read. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book and think that you will too.

    The man with whom Gina was going to celebrate Valentine’s Day a little early turned out to be very unreliable, so she is now going to cheer herself by getting ice cream at the grocery store. When she gets to the shelf where her desired flavor should be, it takes a whole lot of effort to finally locate one single carton. Just as Gina pulls out her treat, she is startled by a customer asking if there is another carton like the one that she is holding. Since there is not, the handsome man named Ian says they could share hers. Though Ian came into the store to just buy a lottery ticket, he also discovered something else that he wanted.

    The Lotto Love series begins with a delightful story of two people being in the right place at the right time, as neither were looking for someone to hook up with that night, but desire fuels some impulsive decisions which could lead to unexpected happiness. Gina is only wanting to console herself with some ice cream, and striking up a conversation with a man at the store is not like her. Ian was trying to see if he could be lucky when playing the lottery, but a tempting woman quickly grabs his full attention. How this couple meet is told with fun descriptions, and their moments afterward were just as delightfully depicted. These two are certainly appealing individuals, as they come across as genuinely honest and any of their reactions are sincere. I thought Piper Cook created an entertaining holiday romance with LUCKY BREAK.

    Lucky Break is the first book in the Lotto Love series. Get ready to hit the jackpot with these books if the rest are a fun and entertaining as this one is. The story is deliciously sweet with some spicy naughty bits sprinkled in. Gina is having a bad night after being stood up for what was supposed to be a romantic pre-Valentine's Day dinner. So on the way home what is a girl to do but stop in at the Jiffy Quick grocery store for a pint of her favorite ice cream, in this case Haagen-Daaz Mint Chip. Sure she may be overdressed but she won't be for long is the plan. Ian is at the local Jiffy Quick to buy a lottery ticket for the big jackpot. It may be the last of his cash but why not spend it on "the dream" of hitting it big. As he is standing in line he spots something out of the corner of his eye, a beautiful curvy woman in a slinky tight red dress wandering the freezer section. All he knows is that after he buys his ticket he is going to be on the hunt for her. They have a "meet cute" that quickly turns into a coffee date at the Kindlewood Cafe with the addition of two spoons to share the pint of deliciousness. In return for splitting her "therapy" Ian offered to split his lottery ticket with her, well really have them both sign the back. No matter what happens these two have already won the biggest lottery of their lives.....the grand jackpot of forever love!!!

Ian happens to be at the same grocery store and does a double take when he sees her enter the store and decides to find her. They split the lotto ticket and have coffee and the ice cream and get to know each other. A sweet, short, steamy, insta love story of two people finding luck with the lotto, and finding a lifetime of happiness together. First book in the Lotto Love Book series.

    Forget about wishing for the lotto… I’m going for the ice cream. Even though my favorite is butter pecan(pronounced pah-con).
    I actually enjoyed meeting both Gina and Ian, and look forward to meeting the others in the series.

    This is the first time I’ve ever read anything from this author and I’m looking forward to seeing more.

    I would guess that this story is worth reading. I definitely enjoyed it. I would hope that most people don’t fall in love over ice cream in the grocery store and hook up. That really seems counterproductive but maybe that’s just me.
    Maybe though when love strikes and you know you know, you’ve got to grab the brass ring or fail miserably.
    Anyway I did enjoy the story.
