About the author

I wrote my first novel in my minivan at 45. At 50, I walked the red carpet at the Hollywood premiere of the adaptation of my second novel, Must Love Dogs, starring Diane Lane and John Cusack, which is now an 8-book series. I'm the New York Times, USA Today, and international bestselling author of 23 fun and inspiring books for 40-to-forever women.
If you have a buried dream, take it from me, it's Never Too Late to Shine On!
I was a teacher for sixteen years before writing my first book. I was born in Virginia, and lived for many years in Scituate, Massachusetts, a beach town between Boston and Cape Cod. After a stop in Atlanta, my husband and I now live on St. Simons Island, Georgia, which reminds us so much of Scituate, but without the snow!
I have the world's most fabulous readers, and I'm forever grateful to you all for giving me the gift of this late-blooming career.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2017Omigosh! I can feature Claire Cook writing these for years to come. Three is usually my limit on books in a series, but these are definitely the exception to the rule. They have all stayed fresh and funny and have kept me laughing for months now. We are next to be evacuated in a long line of fire evacuations, and this book has helped me get thru it all. I go to bed chuckling over all the fist bump variations; I can see Christopher Plummer and his secular phone ( nobody else could possibly be Billy Boy hurlihy); and those parental recriminations will forever be in my mind and on my tongue! Thank you Claire Cook for staying true to form and keeping me entertained and hopeful!

- Reviewed in the United States on December 18, 2017I'm a big fan of this series. I love the continuity and the feeling of finding old friends once again.
In this story, we find all the usual elements, Sarah and John are still not able to spend enough time together. Their house is filling up with friends and family looking for somewhere to stay, plus Horatio the dog and the cat family from book 5. As usual there is tension between them, and the house improvements do not help, as anyone who has ever had work done on their house can confirm. Sarah's father gets on my nerves a little, but I love her sisters and brothers and of course the long suffering John.
There are several laugh out loud moments in the book, and I particularly like the scenes at school, and the interaction between Sarah, her colleagues and the little children who attend the rather posh private kindergarten where she works.

4.0 out of 5 stars Histoire sympa et drôle, comme d'habitude!
