When I tell you that if I could give this book 10 stars if I could, I mean it. I loved this story SO much! It was funny, heartwarming, spicy, easy to read, everything you want and need! I devoured it in a day because I couldn’t put it down. Literally preordered Avery’s story immediately. These characters were so lovable and you are rooting for June the whole way and swooning over Beau. I just loved this book so much.

    Rounding to 4 stars, I thoroughly enjoyed this delightful and quick love story. It had me giggling and smiling, and I couldn’t help but blush as well. The narrators’ portrayal of the characters’ text messages was particularly entertaining 🔥

    However, I must deduct a star for Avery. Her character was incredibly insufferable and made it difficult for me to fully immerse myself in the story. She reminded me of Violet from Willy Wonka, and I eagerly hoped the main characters confronting her and forcing her to reflect on her actions. Unfortunately, this never happened.

    Another reason for the lower rating is the lack of depth and growth for the main characters.

    Despite these minor cons, I would still recommend this book to family and friends. It’s a heartwarming and entertaining read that will leave you smiling and feeling uplifted.

    I have enjoyed the books read by these authors but this one not so much. MFC constantly described her infatuation with the MMC way too much. I also found his younger sister’s interruptions to the point of becoming annoying.

    I love Max Monroe and this book did not disappoint. Beau and June have been in each other’s lives since she became best friends with his sister. She has had a crush on him for years, but her insecurities have kept her from saying anything. Beau has always been nice to her, but viewed her as family. Or has he?

    Now, they work together and she contacts him on an app the company is trying to win. She also hopes that she will be able to have him in a way she never has. As they communicate via the app, they both know it could blow up in their faces, but they can’t stop. I loved how they got to know each other on a deeper level, without ever seeing each other or the stress of outside influences.

    The one wrench in their dating (once he learns who she is) the fact they’ve been lying to everyone, especially his sister/her best friend. Their relationship was actually really sweet and near the end my heart was breaking for both. His grand gesture, one that he does at work, using what started their relationship, is fantastic. If I had one gripe, it would be Avery. She didn’t seem to be serious about anything. Hopefully, and I’m sure it will, her book will change my mind.

    I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series of stand alone books. I received an ARC and this is my honest, voluntary review.

Also, this is where the creativity of this transition takes place. I loved reading these parts of the book.

    The book is funny and has moments of pure laughter but I really feel this is one of the more romantic books written by this duo. In my opinion, I feel this book has more steamy, dirty talk and less intense steamy scenes than past books. I like this for the book because it feels right for these two characters and how they come together.

    I recommend giving this book a read. It is fun to read, very quick to read and is for any romantic

    This book started kinda slow but it picked up nicely and really got my attention!
    Juniper, or June, is a wonderful character! She comes from money but doesn’t act like it. Mostly due to her parents simply thinking they can buy her expensive gifts rather then spend time with her. After her parents divorce, she was pretty much adopted by her best friend’s family. Her best friend is Avery. And Avery has an older brother named Beau. June has been in love with him since she first played eyes on him.
    Beau is 5 years older than June and Avery. He has always thought of her as another little sister. That is until he starts chatting with her on the Midnight app.
    I loved their chats so much, especially when they became spicy!!!! Of course, Beau didn’t know it was June because the app keeps your identity anonymous. By the time he finds out it’s her, he’s already attracted to her! It was wonderful to watch them fall in love!!!
    I have to say that I’m not a fan of Avery. She is everything I don’t like about spoiled rich people!!! I know she had redeeming features but there weren’t many. Sorry, but I couldn’t figure out how June could be friends with her!
    I did love their book and couldn’t put it down!!!

    You can never go wrong with a Max Monroe book, and this one is no different! Juni & Beau are two really beautiful people, inside & out. Two people that you could imagine being friends with and even though they have more money than God, they're really likeable characters.
    This story has so much humour, and all the love that pours off the pages will have you turn all gooey inside.
    I can't wait for the next book in this series. Avery is going to be soooo much fun!

    It's been a shamefully long time since I read a book by this fantastic author duo. This had the humour I'm used to from them and the sweetness too. A best friends brother, heavy on the longing and a workplace romance all rolled into one and add in the "anonymous" texting aspect? Lovely touch. I liked this a lot.
