Out of the 3 books in the series that I have read so far, I like this story the best despite it having an element that I hate, cheating. Victor and Holly started a relationship while he is separated but still married. To me that is cheating.
However the story had a lot of things that I liked to compensate for it including that out of the 3 books, this story felt the most adult and was the most suspenseful. For one the heroine was an adult and no longer a teenager although she was still young, in her early twenties. Another thing is the hotness factor. This is the first time in the series that a book included hot smex scenes as opposed to having none like the first book or having the smex scenes being telling and not showing like the second. Holly and Victor had a lot of chemistry and when half way through the story they consummate their relationship, the scenes were hot. Also the suspense and subsequent action was really good in this story and at the end of the story, a prior male character that I really liked int he first book returned, which made me really happy.
