London 1922. The Summer Ball is arranged. Camille Divine has received her invitation to Antonella Toignton’s home in Chelsea, the one she inherited from her father, where the Summer Ball will be held.
At first, Camille is loath to attend after promising herself a rest after her last investigation, but the envelope in which the invitation came also holds a letter from Antonella, one of Camille’s closest friends, begging her to attend the Summer Ball as she needs to speak with her urgently about some strange happenings at her new home.
Antonella sounds frightened, which surprises Camille as her friend is not easily spooked. Camille sighs, knowing she doesn’t have the willpower to resist a mystery, and if her friend needs her help she will never refuse.
With the mid-summer temperatures reaching boiling point, and the demise of a guest at the Ball, Camille realises there’s a murderer amongst the invitees. Has Antonella requested the presence of a killer at the Summer Ball? And why do the family members and friends seem to suspect one another?
MURDER ON THE DANCE FLOOR is the second in the Camille Divine Mysteries series, a story of intrigue, strange goings-on…and murder!
The Camille Divine Mysteries Series will appeal to fans of
Agatha Christie, Downton Abbey, and the contemporary series, Midsummer Murders.

An Intriguing Holiday Read
I am really enjoying this series, not just because the characters are developing so well and there is a definitive timeline to follow, but because the era is so well researched and represented. This one really caught me off-guard and I will not leave any spoilers here, I will just say that all is not as it seems! A glorious cosy mystery and I am so looking forward to the next one!

I'm looking for more from Ms Hicks. This story grabbed you right from the start. It has the right feel for the 20s and great characters. Camille may be from the aristocratic society, but she's a real down to earth person. Getting to know her friends and their secrets is party of the mystery. You'll just have to get the book to read for yourself. I highly recommend this series.

I really cozy mysteries to escape life not to hear someone’s subtle opinion on why women need to have abortions. Lost favor.

I've read a few of these cozy mysteries now, mostly because my single criterion for reading enjoyment at present is that everyone is nice to one another, and women get treated with respect. Not everyone was nice to each other in this one, or the last, but Andrea has a very entertaining voice and her plotting and character development is better than many in this genre. I'm thoroughly enjoying the two I've read so far and looking forward to the rest of the series

An enjoyable book. An easy read with a well thought out plot. However the random punctuation did irritate, but that’s just me.

This book was very well written with lots of suspense.
I like the main characters very much and because of that, I was drawn into the story very quickly.
The plot was sufficiently complex so as not to allow the reader to guess who the murder was.
It is a cosy mystery which I would challenge anyone to find offensive.
