I’m pretty thrilled about getting to take a two-week vacation to Mountain Ridge Resort. Hiking, kayaking, horseback riding, swimming in the lake, dance lessons, gourmet buffet dinners… what’s not to like?
Well, the reason I’m going, actually.
My wonderful Great-aunt Nell, who I’ve spent the last two years taking care of, died a few months ago and left me a nice little nest egg in her will.
Provided that I visit this vacation spot she had fond memories of from her childhood.
Provided that it’s a vacation for two.
Only trouble is, my fiancé ditched me six months ago, saying I didn’t make time for him. But I didn’t want to worry Aunt Nell, so I didn’t tell her.

    Holiday Hearts by Carly Keene is part of the multi-author Mountain Ridge Resort series. This story is about Ainsley and Jordan. Ainsley's beloved great aunt Nell has passed and in her will she has left a very special bequeath to her. Ainsley is to take a two week all expense paid vacation at the Mountain Ridge Resort. When Nell was young she went to the resort with her family and would tell Ainsley all about her adventures there when she was growing up. Ainsley is surprised by the bequeath and ready to go, but there is one caveat that she must comply with.....she has to take a partner with her. As Ainsley is single and not ready to mingle the only person she can think of is her best friend since they were kids, Jordan. He agrees to go as her plus one with no benefits and off they go. But when they get there they discover that the two rooms they had expected were booked are not available and there is only a one room cabin, with one bed. Well this is about to get very interesting as both Ainsley and Jordan have loved each other in a more than friendship way since they were teenagers, but the timing was never right as they were both in relationships at different times. But with the close quarters, dance lessons, skimpy bathing suits, run, fun and adventure things are going to get hot and sweaty between these two before they have to leave.

    I enjoyed this story and really loved the characters, who you can imagine as they are nicely developed. I also enjoyed the fact that they do not just jump into bed together, and instead there is some wooing and teasing happening which amps up the sizzling chemistry flying between them. This was a really lovely read.

    Ainsley's Aunt had passed away, and she had requested in her Will for Ainsley to take her ashes to Mountain Ridge Resort with a guest of her choice to spread them where she had so much fun as a child in exchange for life insurance. Ainsley had no idea who she would take as her guest with only nine months remaining left on the time limit. She no longer had a fiance, and her mother had other vacation plans. Then she thought of her bestfriend, Jordan. They had been friends since before freshman year of high school. Jordan would do anything for Ainsley as he had been in love with her forever, but he could never ger the timing to line up for his chance. There window for them to go was small with him being a school counselor and summer almost being over, plus they were required to stay two weeks. When they got there the attorney's office had not made the arrangements as required so they managed with luck to get one of the cabins. It turned out to be a one bedroom with two queen beds and a bath. Jordan was not sure how he was going survive this trip. A fun filled read perfect for a break or before bedtime.

    Holiday Hearts is a fast heartwarming friends to lovers story that you can't help but smile as Anisley and Jordan navigate their feelings.

    Life threw Anisley a curve ball when her Aunt Nell got older and needed help. Anisley did not think twice about moving and helping her, but her boyfriend at the time was not as patient. After her death, Aunt Nell offered Anisley an inherits with conditions - ten days at the Mountain Ridge Resort with someone.

    With no boyfriend, Anisley asked her best friend, Jordan. Jordan and Anisley have known each other for years - over time they have kept their feeling for each other quiet, but now at the resort the truth will come out.

    Great story from start to finish. Jordan and Anisley's connection is sweet with a bit of spice that pulls you in from the start.

    I love friends to lovers romances! What better foundation to a beautiful relationship than to be with your best friend? Jordan and Ainsley are the best friends in this book and I adored them! Jordan has been in love with his best friend forever but the timing to tell her was always off. When Ainsley needs to go to the mountain ridge resort as part of an inheritance from her aunt, who better to take with her than her best friend Jordan. The timing is right now, they are both single, and Jordan doesn’t want to watch her give her heart to another wrong guy.

    I loved experiencing Jordan and Ainsley’s friendship and the obvious deeper feelings they each have. There is always the fear that being together romantically will damage the friendship but it’s only going to make it stronger. They have fun together, laugh together, know each other on a deep level. Plus with heat as scorching as it is between these two, they can’t go wrong by being together. So if you love a good friends to lovers romance, this should be the next one you read.

    I enjoyed the story of Jordan and Ainsley. They have been best friends since the met in the 8th grade. They've been each other's support system when their latest boyfriend/girlfriend ditched them. They go on an adventure to Mountain Ridge Resort to spread her Aunt Nell's ashes. Jordan wants to have more with Ainsley and Ainsley is finding it harder to put Jordan in the BFF zone. I love how they took a chance on each other and found their HEA.

    Ainsley has been back home taking care of her aunt who fell and not spending rime with her boyfriend. He is not pleased and breaks up with her. When her aunt dies she leaves Ainsley with a large sum of money with the contingency she has to visit the mountain resort her aunt liked to go to as a child and bring a friend. Qith no boyfriend she brings her best friend Jordan. Unbeknownst to either one they have been in love witb each ither for some time now. Will these friends take matters to the next level or remain just friends. Short friends to lovers romance with a HEA.
