Marked for the Alien Prince: A Sci-Fi Alien Romance (Bride to an Alien Prince) Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 259 ratings

When Izzie ditched her maid uniform for a ballgown, she never expected to catch the attention of an alien prince…

All I want is to return to Earth.

After an alien abduction gone wrong, I was adopted by a noble Yazdi family, but now they treat me as little more than a servant. I’m so tired of saving up credits to take a ship home. At this rate, it will take years.

When the King throws a ball to find a bride for his youngest son, I might as well attend and pretend to be normal for a night. It’s not like a human will catch the prince’s attention, right?

When I bump into Keveh outside the ball, the dreamy, bronze-skinned prince is actually interested in me. But I can’t put my heart at risk, not when I can’t stay on Yazd. These aliens aren’t my family and this world isn’t my home.

But with Keveh in my arms, do I really want to leave?

Marked for the Alien Prince is a standalone novella set in the Bride to an Alien Prince universe. This romantic story has on-the-page heat, a guaranteed happily-ever-after, and no cheating.

Izzie is living an Alien Cinderella story with some interesting twists. As we learn more about her present life, and her past, it becomes easier and easier to understand why she is charmed by someone who takes the time to see the real 'her', not just her surface.Keveh is all too aware the majority of people he meets see him as the King's son first, A Prince second, and if he's lucky somewhere down the line they recognize him as a person. Never before has he met someone who sees him first... and treats him the same upon discovering who his family is... Izzie is truly unique in his world.I love how this done in one Kindle Unlimited quick read takes the time to get to know these people as unique individuals, looking past assumptions and stereotypes to their hearts.

To me this story is a fantastic twist of the popular Cinderella story without the fairy godmother. Izzie was a human whose pod crash landed on Yadz. She's adopted by the Xanthi family. On the death of her adopted father, she's treated like a maid. Sewing, cleaning, preparing meals n other chores assigned by her adopted mother while her two "sisters" laze around all day. When an invitation arrives to attend a ball in honor of Prince Keveh, she's told to stay home. But after her family leaves she transports herself to the palace hoping she doesn't run into them.
Prince Keveh is summoned to the palace by his father, who announced a ball to be in his honor, the occasion is for him to marry . He wants to refuse but his mother insists, he can't refuse the request coming from his mother. In the night of the gala he sits in the shadows behind a curtain watching the festivities. When Izzie ducks behind the curtains to avoid her family he begins talking to her. She doesn't know he's the Prince but a glance and a touch sends a shock to both of them. Now the Prince wants to know everything about her. Her wants n needs the main focus on his mind.
    So riveting.

Other than the plot holes of why she was taken and why the ship that took her crashed the story was cute and short. A space Cinderella story. Cute ending. All around nice story.

Izzy was abducted at age twelve, crashed on Yazd, adopted by a local family and unfortunately when the father died, Izzy became a servant to the family. If you know Cinderella, you have an idea of what might happen. Lots of twists. Loved this version.

This book goes along with a very strong "Cinderella" theme, complete with wicked stepmother and sisters. It seemed to be at least a fun and unique spin on a well known fairytale. The problem I think, for me was that it played so hard into the fairytale, that it didn't really allow for the story to become its own. The author had a clear vision of her world-building, that was obvious while reading. She was able to write in such a way that I could envision the world she built quite easily and the alien race that lived in it. However with the book being so short, I feel like it limited the story greatly. The romance felt rushed and forced, her other friendships felt non-existent (mainly because they weren't actually in the story, merely explained in passing) and the trauma of living under an abusive household living as a slave, didn't have as much meaning or influence to the story as it should. It feels like an empty shell of what it could be. It wasn't awful but it could and should be more fleshed out. I think this book has a lot of potential, and the author has a very creative mind. I just wish I could've enjoyed it more.

I realized quickly that this was a mild take-off on the 'Cinderella Story ' The only reason I've given it only a 4 out of 5 stars is the shortness of the book .All the others were longer and more sweeping in plots .Still this was a fun if short read .

Izzie had been discovered slone in a space pod at the age of 12. Taken in and adopted her life changed after the death of her adoptive father. Her life is at the beck and call of her adoptive mother and sisters. Treated as a maid, she secretly makes a gown and attends the ball where all the single woman have been invited to.

There she runs into Kev while trying to escape neing spotted by her sisters. There is a sizzling chemistry between them right from the start, yet Izzie is afraid of what her adoptove mother would do if she found out that she was meeting Kev. Kev, Izzie discovers is actually Prince Keveh!

Thoroughly enjoyed this tale of a futurist Cinderella, two souls fate has put together
