About the author

Usually to be found within range of plate of hot buttered toast, a huge mug of black coffee, and a with a bar of emergency chocolate tucked in her jacket pocket, Jenny Kane spends her days in her local café typing away...
Inspired by everything and anything, Jenny combines her past experiences as an archaeologist, university tutor, cheese seller, newsagent, Welsh hat maker, Robin Hood obsessive, and data clerk, with the sights and sounds of everyday life, to weave tales of relaxingly relatable romance.
Look out for the brand new #MillGrange series - including Midsummer Dreams at Mill Grange - and the forthcoming, Autumn Leaves at Mill Grange and Spring Blossom at Mill Grange.
Jenny's Cornish novels - A Cornish Escape and A Cornish Wedding have received fabulous reviews and her romcom, Another Cup of Coffee, was a long time bestseller - as were its sequels - Another Cup of Christmas, Christmas in the Cotswolds, Christmas at the Castle and Another Glass of Champagne.
Jenny also writes historical mysteries under the name of Jennifer Ash.

- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2020The first thing that drew me to this book was it's very charming cover. I'll admit I'm very drawn to books with autumn scenery on their cover.
This is the second book in the series but I was able to read it as a stand alone and not feel as though I've missed anything.
Once I started reading it I found myself zipping through the pages as I got into the interesting story line.
The author deals with a tough subject but made it look easy to do so.
Healing and rehabilitation are key here to moving on and making the kind of life he needs to live with his girlfriend. Deals with anxiety, claustrophobia,PTSD.
This is a feel-good book not to be missed as the author deals with the issues with compassion.

5.0 out of 5 stars History, friendship and love.
This is the 2nd book in this series. It's full of love friendship and true life situations. The characters really come to life and there are times when you are there willing them along with whatever comes next. Onto book 3.

5.0 out of 5 stars Continuing the lovely story!
I read this straight after the first book as I wanted to know what happened next to all the characters. I wasn't disappointed and it was another great read. I've now started book three and enjoying it. I know that this is going to be a series I will miss when I finish reading it.
I definitely recommend the Mill Grange series!

As with all of Jenny Kane’s books I could not put it down. Wished I could read faster as I could not wait to turn the page.

3.0 out of 5 stars Interesting topic
Book number two in the series. Wanted to read it to find out what happens. But a bit too predictable. I find it irritating when things are repetitive in books, like one girl bakes lemon cake every day and constantly twirls her pigtails. Another constantly has a stray springy red curl in her face. But it was an easy read otherwise.

5.0 out of 5 stars A worthy second instalment to the Mill Grange series
Quite often when you read a sequel to a book you've particularly enjoyed, it doesn't match up to your expectations. I'm happy to say that wasn't the case here. ALAMG was just as good as the original and I loved the way it moved the relationships between the main characters forwards. Yes, there is still the RomCom traditional 'all is well' ending and there is still the idea of getting everyone happily paired off (or at least with the hint that certain people will get together in the next book!), but as with MDAMG, there is that deeper element that brings a touch of realism to the books. In Autumn Leaves, the reader is shown that happy endings don't come about by chance, they have to be worked for - people have to grow and develop together and even the nicest people make silly mistakes (but these can be forgiven). The characters are developed further and given more depth - we find out more of their back story and we see the reasons for their insecurities (and these are very real things I could identify with). There is more history and more archaeology and I can't wait for more of the series!
