Minding Malachi (Farmer In A Fix Book 6) Kindle Edition

4.7 out of 5 stars 23 ratings

A sheep in a custody battle. Potato missiles. An unexpected housemate. Sometimes disaster is the door to serendipity.

Disaster strikes and Sarah is forced to move out of her apartment into a client’s farmhouse while she awaits repairs. She has it all to herself … until the day she comes home and sees a stranger in her kitchen. And she’s stuck with him despite her deadly aim with a potato.

With nowhere else to go, Sarah and Wyatt must work together to dodge the common enemy, Alicia. She’s determined to get custody of Malachi, the farm’s resident sheep, and she isn’t afraid to make life hard for everyone.

But as their relationship begins to blossom, Wyatt is blindsided by a terrible secret that explodes into life, threatening to tear them apart.

Can they survive the revelation that has him questioning everything about who he is? Will they get their happy ending, or will Sarah be left with a broken heart?

Minding Malachi is a sweet romance with funny moments, tender kisses, and delightful characters. It is book 6 in the Farmer In A Fix series and can be read as a standalone, but it is best enjoyed as part of the series. It contains some references to the faith of the characters and a divorce situation as a side plot.

Don’t miss Sarah and Wyatt’s quirky, adorable story. Scroll up and get your copy with one click!

I enjoyed this little book. This is a cute and quick read following the theme of the series with a troublesome animal playing a bit of an unintentional matchmaking role. For this installment it is a sheep named Malachi. His owners are divorcing, not on good terms, and need someone to stay in their farmhouse and “mind Malachi” and some other animals. When both the husband and wife arrange temporary tenants, it leaves Sarah and Wyatt as unexpected, and unwanted housemates. “‘I’m a Christian, and it doesn’t sit right with my beliefs.’” The situation is further complicated by the divorcing couple’s antagonism over Malachi. This story had a little bit more of some heavy topics than some of the other books in the series. This is all with secondary characters, but it affects the main characters. While there are light character crossovers throughout this series, this book reads well as a standalone. This is a sweet and clean story, but does have a bit more innuendo due to the living situation. It is addressed from a perspective of Christian faith. This book involves more overt Christian themes than some of the other books in the series. There is no harsh language.

A funny addition to the Farmer in a Fix series. (can be read as a stand-alone)
The farm is in the middle of a divorce settlement dispute and both the male and female owners rent the house to unsuspecting people who think they are the sole renter. Add to the dispute a lovable sheep that happened to escape.
An enjoyable story with lots of laughs, and also some woes, and a great ending!
I was provided with a copy of the book via Booksprout, and this is my honest opinion.

This book is clean, has Christian values, and a happy ending. Overall I enjoyed the story. I would have liked a little more romance and a little less family drama for Wyatt.

Sarah lead a safe and comfortable life. One day out of the blue her apartment was flooded. The trail that follows is so funny. I highly recommend this story to everyone. Kaitlyn is an out standing example of author. She also has more stories to read and I'm looking forward to it.
