Monster Haunter: Blue Moon Investigations Sacramento Kindle Edition
Face your fears. It’s such a tired cliché. Yet that’s what August Watson must do if he is to survive.
His self-appointed nemesis, a ghost of a man called Daniel Quinn, has taken Glacia and August must play Quinn’s deadly games if he is to stand any chance of getting her back.
On the run from the police, forced to do it all alone, August must face his greatest nightmares. He will triumph or he will die. But if he dies, it won’t be only his life that is forfeit.
Out of options, out of time, the rage within might keep him alive, but will it also consume him?

About the authors
Alex Gates writes fantasy, mystery, and suspense stories, often weaving elements inspired by his eclectic taste in books and films—from horror flicks to romantic comedies. Born and raised in Northern California, Alex spends his days with his incredible wife, their two energetic kids, and an adorable golden doodle. When not immersed in writing, Alex loves reading, traveling, and listening to country music.
When Steve Higgs wrote his debut novel, Paranormal Nonsense, he was a captain in the British Army. He would like to pretend that he had one of those careers that must be blacked out and generally denied by the government, and that he has to change his name and move constantly because he is still on the watch list in several countries. In truth, though, he started out as a mechanic - not like Jason Statham in the film by that name, sneaking around as a hitman, but more like one of those sleazy guys who charges a fortune and keeps your car for a week even though the only thing you went in for was a squeaky door hinge.
At school, he was largely disinterested in all subjects except creative writing, for which he won his first prize at the age of ten. However, calling it the first prize he won suggests that there were other prizes, which is not the case. Awards may yet come, but in the meantime, he enjoys writing mystery and thriller novels and claims to have more than a hundred books forming a restless queue in his mind because they are desperate to be written.
Now retired from the military, he lives in southeast England with a duo of lazy sausage dogs. Surrounded by rolling hills, brooding castles, and vineyards, he doubts he'll ever leave, the beer is just too good.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 10, 2023This was a great read, both Alex and Steve , well done , not only the mystery of Quinn and tests, the whole physiological aspect, of the the things we are most afraid and manifesting of the “monster “ in our minds. Great read, love Alina, Fred Maya and August…. Keep on writing you two… you keep me up at night reading the hours away.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2023The story was great, the action was satisfying. It is nice to see the monsters, both physical and psychological, overcome. However, the book comes off as written quickly and without proper editing. The many typos, grammar, and sentence structure mistakes are very distracting and sometimes make the reading difficult.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2024The characters, the multiple story lines… but what happened t Jerry?
There must be more please, please make it soon!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 7, 2023Exciting from the beginning to the end. Can’t wait for more August, Fred, Alina and Myra Blue Moon stories, not to forget Augusts crazy but loving mother
- Reviewed in the United States on October 16, 2023This story took some very crazy turns that left you wondering what our team was doing. Several times I thought really bad decisions would take wrong turns. Crazy ending for sure!!
- Reviewed in the United States on April 3, 2023This whole series has been one of the best I’ve ever read, and Monster Hunter lives up to all of the hype. Great job on the Author, as the character development in this one had me attached to each of them. Each book I read from this series seems to give me a new favorite by the end.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2023I had given up in this series and am glad broke down and read this installment. With more mysteries that appear to be supernatural, all the characters are given time to find themselves. There is some humor sprinkled throughout and surprising developments that make the story flow.

I love this series, especially this book. It’s got some great plots and is different to most books you read in regards to storyline but that’s what makes it so good.
