    While I admit I prefer the earlier books, this is a very good addition to the series. Beau is not new to us, but his character development here is intriguing. Valentina has a hard job in more than one way and their connection is excellent and realistic.

    Beau Fontaine stared at the six desks on the other side of the glass wall. Desks for his team...the glass wall separating his rescue team from Damien's team. It was decided that their two teams needed to be in one location instead of 40 minutes away from the other and the Annesey team had been given the choice to stay in another capacity or move to Chamonix and stay with the PGHM.

    He hated change and even though the whole team chose to make the move he felt he had forced their hand. Now he had to find an apartment and make sure his team found housing. Before he could leave to meet with the realtor the Colonel called him and Damien for a meeting.

    He had just received a report that the Mont Blanc valley was in danger of an imminent earthquake and the owner of the company making these claims was friends with the President. The Mont Blanc Search and Rescue teams were expected to escort the research team up the mountain and ensure their safety.

    After their meeting, he set off to look at the three apartments and was finally happy that the last one met his needs. The first one had questionable facilities and the second was over a crowded bar. He was told that the doctor who lived above him was rarely home which meant peace and quiet.

    Valentina Carrel was an emergency room doctor and she was used to being tired, but now she past being exhausted because sitting still just brought on the grief of her sister's death. Her sister had died in a car accident and she was now the guardian of her thirteen-year-old niece Ren. Although she and her niece were close this new dynamic terrified her and she didn't know how to help Ren and was scared she was going to let her sister down.

    I loved this story! It is very well written and the characters are fully developed and relatable. Although this book is a standalone romance the series is full of recurring characters. Books one through six were all focused on Damien's team, but Beau showed up briefly throughout the series. I am so happy that Beau and his team are getting their own stories.

    This book is action-packed from page one and full of danger, although this time not from a person but from nature itself from a devastating earthquake. Beau is a loner and it takes almost losing everything before he realizes he can't live without Valentina and Ren in his life.

    If you haven't read a JR Pace book you are missing out. Her books are smoking hot, full of suspense, amazing characters and storylines that leave you begging for more. I can't wait to see what happens next! Highly recommend!

    This is book 7 in The Mont Blanc Rescue Series. I've really enjoyed the series as a whole and it seems since the first goup of people from The Rescue Team have gotten thier love stories the focus now will be on The Annecy groups love stories which is great knowing that the series isn't over yet.

    Beau can be a bit bearish until he finds his one true love that comes in and brings out his softer side. Beau was a bit grumpy but he's been a Mountain Resuer his whole life and been a bit of a loner and not to mention he has some health issues going on that could potentially be career ending so he has that stress he's dealing with as well.

    Valentina is a lovely Doctor in town and had just gained custody of her neice after the death of her sister and she's dealing with that whole dynamic as well as grieving herself.

    When these two find eachother it is amazing. The chemistry, steam and respect for one another is perfect. Beau's protectiveness of the girls is heartwarming. It was so sweet watching him change and grow from a big lonely bachelor into a famiily man.

    I enjoyed the excitement and suspense going on with the earthquakes and rescues. The chamaraderie from all the friends is fun and nice to see as well. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves action, adventure, suspense and some romance. This book is part of a series but can be read as a standalone.

    I really like Mountain Target. The danger is from nature rather than from terrible people.
    Beau is gruff and a bit hard to get to know. He is a good match for Valentina. He shows such a good heart toward Val and Ren.

    Lawdy this one had me in tears. Another winner in the Mont Blanc Rescue series. This is basically book 1 for Team 2. You are not lost as each book is a stand alone. Beau (Commandant) comes across as snarly for so many reasons, but has a heart of gold. I think all Search and Rescue have to have a heart of gold, or compassion to do what they do. Valentia (Val) is a Dr., Intelligent, thoughtful and compassionate in her own right. There is steam, explicit steam, which I skim on by. There is thought provoking science that now I have to google and see if its out in the world or if this was just a plot line in the book. This book had suspense, provided by mother nature, heart wrenching moments and so deliciously written that I would like to see Mont Blanc - pictures or from the ground looking up :) I love getting to know Team 2 as well as a few members of Team 1 (books 1-6) pop in.
