    I LOVED Mr. Stone!!!

    This was such a fun and flirty read with characters I loved and connected with. Emma is struggling to raise her brother and in the process having to put up with her stone cold boss who seems intent to make her life miserable. She was so cute in her thoughts and attitude towards Damon.

    Damon is being tortured by his assistant’s presence and watching him battle against his feelings even as he’s trying to bring about a certain outcome was hilarious. Definitely thinking with the wrong part of his anatomy. I loved the possessive thoughts he had as well as the immediate protective instincts he showed when the situation called for it. Everything needed for a great hero!

    This was such a delicious story containing so many elements that I personally adore and crave in any book. And successfully done so within a short space. This was well rounded in characterization and plotline with a sizzling dose of steamy goodness on top, making it perfect for a quick read.

    I actually really enjoyed this one! For a novella, it really packed a punch! This is the third one I’ve read from this series and I like this one the most.

    Damon Slone aka Mr. Stone (30) has been wanting his assistant for a while. He keeps trying to get her to quit by giving her too many tasks and being rude to her. But she’s not gonna quit- she meets his challenges left and right😅.

    Emma (22) needs this job. Her younger brother’s graduating from high school and going to college and they need the money. Their parents died 3 years before and she was forced to quit college in order to support herself and her brother. So she can’t give up.

    One late night, a huge earthquake hits; Damon and Emma are stuck with each other and have to survive. They finally get to know each other and then… they realize their feelings are more than superficial.

    We get one 🔥 scene, and it was decent.

    I would’ve scored this higher if we had gotten some info on their smeexual history and maybe if they would’ve discussed their safety.

    I loved that it was realistic when it came to the aftermath of the earthquake, the debris, broken/cracked structures, darkness, needing to be rescued, etc. Even them trying to scourge for any edible food in their building.

    Overall, I enjoyed it and wish it was longer

    Really enjoyed this story, and coming from an author I haven't read yet, I though this review deserved s 5 star rating. I'm usually impatient with story's like these especially in this genre; skipping to read the conflict before skimming the end before going back to read it through beginning to end. But the way this story was written , for some reason it just held my attention throughout; and that hard to do for me, so its a testament the the writing skills that this book was able to keep me engrossed enough that I didn't do any skimming ahead, I just stayed in the story read along with Demain and Emma, as the relationship progressed. It was most enjoyable!
