I loved this sweet, gentle love story between two likeable characters: the family-oriented rockstar, Lincoln, and the artistic food-developer, Tash (Natasha). They’d each come out of a failed relationship, but once they stumbled into each other, the story was about their growth through their pasts and into a combined future. It got swoonier and swoonier with every chapter, and I just ate it up! NOTE: It’s billed as a romantic comedy, but it’s not, and there are mild swear words and sex before marriage, so it’s not clean, either. But it’s a sweet love story that’s definitely worth the read!

Yesterday I decided to clean out my digital TBR list, and oh boy there was a lot! To make matters even more difficult for myself; I still wanted to read 99% of them. My Kindle Unlimited choices were the hardest, so I decided to keep them all. I know— I’m a failure. I did, however, decided to make myself read one! I absolutely couldn’t decide, so I did what anyone would do in my shoes— I read the one I’ve had checked out for the longest. I never read the reviews before I start, and I should probably start at least skimming them because this book had me a little worried. You can see by my reading history that I prefer clean or closed door romance. Well this book has a bit more alcohol and adult language than my typical closed door romances, so I read with hesitation. Just to be clear— I have nothing against alcohol and adult language, its just that most closed door I read happens to be light in it. I am so happy to report this book keeps everything well behind closed doors, and that door is locked in case Tash’s daughter is around. Let me tell you, the first time that door clicked closed I sighed in relief because I was otherwise really enjoying this book! Tash is such a fun and caring personality. I love her spunkiness and I love her best friend Millicent. Tash has fire hair and I need it in my life. Too bad it’s against my job’s dress code. Lincoln’s life is a mess in the most rockstar of ways. He is on the cusp of making it big, just as his life implodes around him. My mind began to scream rebound as he began to pursue Tash, but his best friend Felix put my mind at ease. “He seems like the kind of guy who likes to be settled, and you would be prefect for him,” and you guys— she is. 🧼 Cleanliness: some adult language, alcohol, steamy kisses with main character closed door romance
