My Own Personal Rockstar Kindle Edition
Single mother Natasha Northwood has her life sorted. With a beautiful daughter, a dream career, and a bestie for company, she doesn’t need anyone or anything else.
That doesn’t mean she can’t lust after a celebrity every now and again—and her current crush just happens to be the curly-haired reality TV rock god Lincoln Page. With a partner and twin girls, he is the perfect unavailable choice to dream about on the occasional lonely night.
That is, until a chance meeting on a flight puts their respective lives on a trajectory that neither imagined. Natasha suddenly finds herself in the role of Lincoln’s friend, helping him through a life-changing crisis, all while expanding her business and building her own identity.
But when one shocking event affects both of them, they must decide if they will remain in each other’s lives…or go their separate ways.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2021I loved this sweet, gentle love story between two likeable characters: the family-oriented rockstar, Lincoln, and the artistic food-developer, Tash (Natasha). They’d each come out of a failed relationship, but once they stumbled into each other, the story was about their growth through their pasts and into a combined future. It got swoonier and swoonier with every chapter, and I just ate it up! NOTE: It’s billed as a romantic comedy, but it’s not, and there are mild swear words and sex before marriage, so it’s not clean, either. But it’s a sweet love story that’s definitely worth the read!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2021My Own Personal Rock Star by Kirsty McManus is an entertaining and sweet romantic comedy. The characters are a hoot! Tash is super sweet with a heart of gold and very down to earth while also an ambitious single mother. Her best friend is crazy fun while also a huge support. Then there’s Lincoln. He’s dreamy, rock star hot, Tash’s long-time fantasy but also genuinely kind, thoughtful, sweet and in touch with his emotions.
The plot of this book is complex as Tash and Link become acquainted. There’s obstacles and complications, high highs and low lows. The one steadfast factor is friendship. It gets them through a lot and provides a solid foundation for their romance, complications and all.
Overall, this rock star romance is sweet, funny and a bit of a whirlwind with as many great things as there are bad ones. I really love how this rock star couple find their way, both with flaws, to a truly promising and spectacular HEA. I’m also very glad to have given this author a try. I found her writing witty, fun with emotional depth.
I read an ARC of this book via Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 7, 2021My Own Personal Rockstar by Kirsty McManus was a delightful read!
Natasha (Tash) Norwood has a LOT going on ... she's got a bestie who keeps her smiling, a daughter who keeps her on her toes and, a growing business that keeps her thinking about how she can continue to keep all the balls in the air. Oh! and she's always been a Lincoln Page fan girl and has loved his music.
He's rebooting his music career but has taken a hit when his wife walks out on him. He and Tash have a chance meeting on a plane and become friends ... and then more as they adjust to each other. My Own Personal Rockstar has twists, turns, supporting characters that will bring out the love (with Felix and Millicent) and the ire (with Rachel). It's a well written, fun read with super cute scenes that will have you cheering on Tash right up to the end.
This is my first Kirsty McManus book, but I'm now following her!

I received an ARC. This is my honest review.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2023This was a light, romantic read. Tasha is a single mother who runs her own business. She has had a crush on rockstar, Lincoln, since she saw him in a singing reality show. They meet on a flight and get to know each other. Throw in a couple zany friends, their exes and you have a great story that would make a wonderful Hallmark movie.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 27, 2021This was such a feel good story that I literally hated for it to end! I highly recommend it to all those that believe in destiny and true love!

My Own Personal Rockstar is my first read by author Kristy McManus. It was a cute read.
After being a fan of Lincoln Paige for as long as she can remember, Natasha Northwood doesn't know what to do after she sits next to him in a crowded flight.
Lincoln Paige is a man with a dream. After losing the singing competition, his friend and mentor offers him the chance of a lifetime.
Although I feel like there wasn't much drama in this story, the drama within was real and relatable and you can't help but root for the couple.
Edited to add: one thing I really enjoyed about this book were the characters and more in particular supporting characters. Tash herself would have all women everywhere feeling proud. She was a woman about her life and put her family first and her business closely behind. Lincoln was a worker and a man willing to do whatever it took to support his dream and family.
Missy and Felix were the real MVP's they supported their friends when life threw them some serious lemons.

5.0 out of 5 stars WOW!
Oh my days - I have devoured this in 24 hrs. This is such a fab read! I don’t know where to start. Tash and Lincoln are great characters. I loved the whole pop star crush / becomes a love interest years later plot, I loved how Tash and Lincoln first meet on the plane by chance, I loved Millicent and her warnings for Tash getting involved with Lincoln, I loved the two character perspectives, I loved his songs, his friend Felix, Tash’s cooking and her social media stalking of Lincoln. It’s an emotional read in the last quarter and I was obsessed! Great book!
