Purchase options and add-ons
His latest stunt, totalling a Porknado Galactic franchise, lands him in hot water. After his atmospheric flyer crashes into the fast food chain’s front window, Gregor finds himself facing a year of labor at Porkopolis, a planetary wide meat-processing nightmare, run by the infamous Porknado Corporation. With a malfunctioning flyer, an ancient public defender AI, and a court case so ridiculous it could be a comedy show, Gregor has no idea how he’s going to survive. But he’s not about to go down without a fight.
From getting lost in bureaucratic hell to dealing with mysterious figures who may or may not be his allies, Gregor’s about to learn that when you’re up against corporate overlords, it takes more than a broken-down flyer to escape. Will he survive Porkopolis, or will he be ground into galactic sausage? One thing’s for sure... Gregor’s never been one to follow the rules.

About the author

Part-time Highland Games competitor, full-time sci-fi author, Angus MacBrain (and yes, it is MacBrain, not MacBrian) is a man of many talents—and more than a few questionable ideas involving bagpipes in zero gravity. Standing at a height that would make most aliens think twice about an invasion, Angus combines his love of science fiction with the heart and humor of the Scottish Highlands.
Known for his fiery red beard, which is often mistaken for a weapon of mass distraction, Angus writes tales of futuristic cosmic feuds, space battles, and corporate insanity, all from the windswept solitude of a remote Scottish island. There, surrounded by wild seas, sheep with dubious loyalties, and a temperamental generator, Angus claims the isolation is perfect for “thinking big thoughts and hiding from the taxman.”
When he’s not crafting interstellar epics, you can find him hauling firewood, experimenting with recipes for deep-space haggis, or shouting at passing seals for interrupting his creative process. Despite the challenges of island life, Angus insists he wouldn’t trade it for anything—except maybe a functional teleportation device.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 5, 2025This isn’t normally the kind of book I’d pick up, and at first, I wasn’t sure it was for me. It took a little bit to get into the story, but once it picked up, I ended up really liking it. Gregor gets himself into some crazy situations, and a few parts actually caught me off guard in a good way. The story has a style that keeps you guessing, and it made for a fun read. I’m looking forward to seeing what happens next in the Gregor Maclean Chronicles.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 7, 2025This is really weird. Which, I guess, the title should have been enough to clue me in. The writing is okay; it didn't really draw me in. It is humorous and has some unexpected scenes that can definitely throw you for a loop.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2025This was one of the most unexpectedly fun reads I’ve had in a while. I wasn’t sure what I was getting into, but a few pages in, I was totally hooked. It’s quirky in the best way—sci-fi with a ridiculous twist that somehow works. The humor caught me off guard more than once, and I found myself laughing out loud at moments that were just perfectly bizarre. It doesn’t take itself too seriously, which made it even more enjoyable. If you’re looking for something different that’ll keep you entertained from start to finish, this one delivers.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2025I didn’t know I needed a story about space meat-processing and anarchist space pilots until now. This book is wildly entertaining packed with bureaucratic nightmares, malfunctioning AIs, and one of the most absurdly rigged court scenes I’ve ever read. It somehow manages to poke fun at everything from capitalism to the justice system while still being fast-paced and completely unpredictable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny Sci-Fi Adventure
I really liked this book; it's a funny, wild ride! Gregor’s misadventures at Porkopolis are packed with weird characters, clever twists, and lots of laughs. You'll enjoy this story if you like sci-fi with humour and maybe a bit of chaos. I couldn’t stop turning the pages to see what trouble Gregor would get into next!
