Noble's Honor (Changeling Blood Book 3) Kindle Edition
Noble of the Wild Hunt
Child of the Horned King.
Bait.
Jason Kilkenny has learned his full heritage and the nature of the bloodline that runs in his veins. One quarter mortal, he is also the child of a Power, the Horned King of the Wild Hunt of the Fae.
But his father is dead, murdered in a fae civil war that ended before Jason was born. It ended because of a powerful spell the Horned King cast, trading his life to deny the Masked Lords the weapon they needed to kill the Fae Powers.
Now, Jason gathers allies and resources in his new home of Calgary. The Fae Masked Lords are hunting him, but he has what they want and they have to come to him. The Fae Powers have prepared a trap for their long-hidden enemies, with Jason as both bait and ambush.
It’s a clever plan—but no plan survives contact with the enemy!

- Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2019As was the case with Stay of Execution from the ONSET series (if you haven't read it you're missing out!), the only bad part about the book is that it ended.
To give you an idea, I borrowed the book with Kindle Unlimited, finished it a few hours after, and then bought it for real to support Glynn because that's how good the book is. I may manage to sneak in a re-reading this week too.
To the book itself, it's a little strange going in because you know that there's going to be a lot that has to happen in order for the series to wrap up, and the book doesn't disappoint. The action starts and doesn't let up, and Glynn masterfully brings in both characters old and new to bring together a plausible and compelling story that relentlessly moves the story forward with plot twists and turns that even as a long time reader of Glynn's I didn't expect.
What makes this book stands out the most is the number of seemingly climactic action scenes that occur. After each epic battle it seems like there's nothing that can overshadow it, but let's just say there are quite a few hard fought battles before you get to the ending. Another more subtler aspect I also appreciate is how Glynn doesn't just use hand wavy techniques to center the story around Jason but uses the plot developments to reasonably make it so.
It's a great pity that Glynn's urban fantasy books haven't done as well as the scifi/space opera books. Powers willing, may that fae-te change in the future!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 12, 2019Well honestly, I don't know why this book needs a glowing review from me. It is the 3rd in the Changeling's Blood series, which I have found to be both deeply meaningful and a compelling read. If you want a good Urban Fantasy sort of book that has a positive bent you will probably enjoy this series. You could start here, but you might better enjoy starting from the beginning. You will probably be through them all in six weeks because they are captivating reads, if not particularly short.
If you read the first two, and if the hook at the end of the second book was just not enough for you to be sure stuff was going to go down ... Well it is a Glynn Stewart book, of course the action keeps coming. If you enjoy the last two it is a pretty safe bet you need to read this one too!
Summary: Either you are new and should go back and catch up with book 1 and enjoy the whole story, or you just like reading reviews of stuff you have already decided you are going to buy (seeing you is like looking at a mirror). Otherwise, I don't know why you are reading this. ... Stop waisting your time and read this book!
I should point out that I received an electronic review copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion, and now that the book has been released I purchased it anyway (despite my limited budget) because I feel that these books have improved me and improved my life, and I believe in supporting art that makes life better.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 27, 2019This book is good.
I liked the concept of myths being brought to life in modern times. The weaving of old fables and characters into a new storyline. The inclusion of eastern myths and legends in this book, really perked my interest.
The writing was much better than the previous books with far less grammatical mistakes. It’s as if an editor went over the book before being published.
The pace of the book from the start was good. A fight right at the beginning, then slowing down, then another fight. I simply could not put it down.
However, my biggest problem with this book is the ending. It was a great and expansive fight but it seemed a bit short and anti-climatic.
The whole storyline decided in one semi-epic battle. It seemed like the author just wanted to get the storyline over and done with. The hero gaining god-like powers and then wiping out all the bad guys in one well directed avalanche. There was no intrigue, no mystery, no “chess games”, in the final defeat of the Masked Lords. We didn’t even get to know who they all were or why they even started the rebellion. We got bits and pieces of the “why”, but in the end the “enemy” just stayed “the enemy”, with no proper fleshing out.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 23, 2023Fast paced and fun ending. A fast and somewhat anticlimactic end. I enjoyed the character progression and growth. A great series that I wish could keep going.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 25, 2019I re-read the first two books just to remember what this was all about... With Glynn's other arcana/magic laced books I needed a quick refresher on the Changeling universe... But that made the book highly enjoyable.
The book is written in very enjoyable writing style, intricate plot, interesting dialogues, great characters (main and supporting) with enough depth to make it a rich and detailed universe, with new additions fitting in smoothly.
Bottom line... I'll be reading whatever he writes, guess you can't go wrong with Mr. Stewart's work.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 14, 2019This book is the final story of the Jason Kilkenny trilogy, Changling Blood, and it's really good! I'm not a big fan of Urban Fantasy but Glynn's storytelling, characters, and plot twists are so engaging, I can't put the book down. In fact, over the three books, Jason has grown in power and maturity to the point where I'd really like the series to continue, just to see what happens.
If you haven't read the first book, you should start at the beginning but this one is the capper! There's no end to the action and mystery. There's not a wasted scene in the book. Note that I first received the book as an ARC in return for an honest review but bought it for my permanent collection. I will be reading it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantasy at its finest
Perhaps the final volume of the Changeling Trilogy. Jason has come quite a far way from the unknown fae half-blood of the first book. He's now gained new allies (and enemies) and is forming a Court of his own. His father's enemies are not willing to wait and comes gunning. The pace is fast and the action never stops. The writing never falters and the characters remain true to their self.
