The New Prometheus Kindle Edition

4.2 out of 5 stars 503 ratings

Attacked and left for dead, Frankie wakes up in a body that isn’t hers, and a ruthless corporation is hunting her down.

Stuck in a dead-end job and living in a dingy apartment, Frankie spends her free time helping the forgotten masses in Neo-London’s sprawling slums. In a city powered by synthetic enhancements and ruled by corporate greed, she’s a voice for the voiceless, fighting for those who can’t fight for themselves.

When a Jacker Gang attack leaves her on the brink of death, Frankie’s life takes a terrifying turn.
Saved by a rogue cyber doc, her brain is implanted into a cutting-edge cybernetic masterpiece.

But before she can make sense of her new reality, a corporation strikes, abducting the doctor and forcing a desperate Frankie to flee.

Trapped in an unfamiliar cyborg body, Frankie must evade relentless enemies, find allies she can trust and somehow survive in a city that wants her dead.

But could her actions ignite a revolution?

The New Prometheus is a Cyberpunk Techno-Thriller, that's a must read for fans of Ghost in the Shell, Blade Runner, Alita Battle Angel, Cyberpunk 2077, Akira, The Matrix, Robocop and Total Recall.

I love how the tech in the story was made very believable. The future society as a result of human technological advancement was painted very real, together with very believable (and disturbing) social issues that could probably develop. I love how the problem escalates and keeps getting bigger, seemingly more insurmountable at every turn. Lots of fun to read!

I finished the book in a day, unable to put it down for long. Great story! I look forward to more!

Got the book and greatly enjoyed it. The only issues I have with it are formatting/typos. There are certain words that are capitalized that shouldn't be. Such as at one sentence in the latter part of the book, machine gun is capitalized as a name, yet it is used as a description.

Opportunities: 1. Better beta readers to catch the through/threw glitches.
    2. Something. That vibration I missed something that didn't fit is driving me crazy. I need a re-read to find it.
Successes: 1.Fast paced and riveting (No pun intended). 2.Logically sequenced. 3. The antagonist is as black and villainous as one can possibly get, and you can see it developing now. 4. If I could be an android, I want to be like Frankie (maybe her equal and love interest .. if androids can dream ..).

Well I could say a lot but ill keep it short to me this read like a b rated action flick with little character development and lots of plot holes it draws heavily and I do mean heavily from all the cyberpunk of the past crazy doctor check unwilling heroine check evil corporations check grizzled detective check the list goes on honestly it's not that bad if you like things like this although it does need another edit and the heroine really needs to stop monologing seriously she goes on and on about how evil the corps are we get it they are the bad guys just get on with it. Anyway it's not great not a piece of trash if you want a cyberpunk that reads in an evening I would recommend it but I hope the author reads these and improves on the next one.

Gunned down and left for dead, Frankie awakes to find her consciousness has been moved into a cyborg body. The mega corps want that body, and the brilliant doctor who created it. Follow Frankie and her friends in this fast paced thriller as they fight back against the corporations that oppress humanity.

It is always great to find a anew good author. I am happy to have found Andrew. This story is about a young female thrown into new life totally unknown to her. It has very good character development and of course having fallen in love with them I can not wait for the author to put into the most terrible situations. I look forward to being a part of this adventure - enjoy.

A very well written story so far. It doesn't drag on like some stories will. Characters are believable. It was hard to put down. Yes i did buy all the other series after as well. This almost tells you what can happen in our future.

4.0 out of 5 stars A fun, easy read

I enjoyed the concept and the story. It was fast paced and had interesting characters, especially the main character Frankie. There were a few ‘uneven’ items such as the doctor’s personality and his athletic abilities (rappelling?), Frankie’s relatively quick acceptance of her situation, her acceptance of the doctor and her acceptance of the physical resemblance of the cyborg body. I did enjoy the book though and thought it was a fun, easy read. I have purchased the second to see where the story goes.
